This beautiful group accommodation away from the crowds will bring your large family or group of nature lovers in a lovely green and quiet environment near the beautiful fortress of Bourtange. The group room is located in the old inn. The inn dates from 1687!!! The group room is suitable for multiple purposes: dining, lounging, games, yoga, dancing etc In the farmhouse are 8 bedrooms each with 2 single beds. There are 6 extra outside rooms, each with 2 single beds and their own sanitary facilities, which can be booked separately, up to 28 people. Arrival: Friday from 16:00 Departure: Sunday before 16:00 or Friday before 10:00 Extra outside rooms can be booked up to 28 people Spacious rooms with private bathroom, also suitable for the disabled. Towels and clean linen provided.
Nature and surroundings
The fortress Bourtange is nationally but also internationally known. Many tourists annually visit this old fortress with earthen walls, embrasures and the battle that is reenacted every year. But do you also know the nature reserve east of the fortress? It is a beautiful bird sanctuary with rare plants, butterflies and even the adder has been spotted here again! Also nearby is Smeerling, a beautiful nature reserve where the Scottish Highlanders roam freely.

Kees General rating:We were unpleasantly surprised upon arrival because there were only 10 bedrooms reserved while we expected 14. The owner divides the number of people by 2 and that is the number of bedrooms. The description of the cottage states that the extra bedrooms can be booked from 16 people. It does not say how many rooms so we assumed all 6 rooms. Now we had to rent an extra room for 250 euros. This should be better communicated!
We werden bij aankomst onaangenaam verrast omdat er maar 10 slaapkamers gereserveerd waren terwijl wij er 14 verwachtte.
De eigenaar deelt het aantal personen door 2 en dat zijn de aantal slaapkamers. Dit was nergens vermeld.
In de omschrijving van het huisje staat dat de extra slaapkamers erbij geboekt worden vanaf 16 personen. Er staat niet hoeveel kamers dus wij gingen uit van alle 6 kamers. Nee dus !
Nu moesten we 1 extra kamer erbij huren voor 250 euro. Echt niet leuk !
Dit moet beter gecommuniceerd worden !!Nature, peace & environment:Nice and quiet on a private property.
