De Kuifmees is a spacious, high-quality bungalow (sleeping four) under a thatched roof, located on a piece of private land of approx. 600m, in a quiet complex in the Sprielderbosch. The Crested Tit is located in one of the most attractive spots of the Buitenplaats, with an unobstructed view over open grassland. The bungalow has a dining terrace with a table and four chairs, as well as a covered, heated terrace with loungers for cooler days. It is set in a mature garden and on a nice day the sun turns around the terraces. The house is mostly equipped with fly screens, and the bungalow is comfortably furnished in a modern style. It is ideally located to retreat there for a shorter or somewhat longer stay. Around the complex are ample cycling and walking routes, particularly suitable for nature lovers.

Within driving or biking distance there is the Kröller-Muller Museum with its extensive Van Gogh collection in Otterlo, the Kasteel Staverden with its exquisite lunch and dinner facilities, the Arboretum/Pinetum De Schovenhorst, the former Queen Wilhelmina's Palace 't Loo near Apeldoorn with its formal, restored XVIII Century garden and carriage museum, and the fascinating National Tile Museum (large collection of Delftware) also in Otterlo. There are many attractions within easy reach, such as the exciting "Klimbos" and a large outdoor swimming pool in nearby Garderen for our younger visitors. There are zoos in Amersfoort and Rhenen, and the Apenheul near Apeldoorn. Upon arrival there is all kinds of documentation of these places waiting for you. There are many dining options directly in the neighborhood, but also slightly further away. Especially nearby Harderwijk has many good restaurants, some even with a Michelin star.
