Nature and surroundings
This nature house is the place to relax, but also a good base for a few days cycling or walking along the river Maas or Waal. The nature house is located just outside Ammerzoden. All in all, a wonderful place to rest about 8 kilometers from the fortified town of Zaltbommel. The landscape in the Bommelerwaard consists of winding dikes, idyllic villages and castles. The impressive Castle Ammersoyen from around 1300 is a real medieval castle with four towers, a knight's hall and a moat. Enjoy the Rivierenland on, next to or in the water. Hike the beautiful footpaths or wooden shoes paths. Go on an exploration of Slot Loevestein. Also visit Gorinchem and Woudrichem, or go after the culinary 's-Hertogenbosch. In the vicinity of fortified town Heusden and the Efteling. At 500 meters from the campsite you connect to the cycle junction network.
