We especially loved the Baloërveld. During our visit in mid-August, the heather was in full bloom. But we also had a great time on our mountain bikes. The Sleen route (about 30 km from the cottage) as well as the Gieten–Gasselte trail (about 5 km from the cottage) are both easily accessible from Rolde. We definitely recommend them because the MTB routes start practically right next to the cottage.
Met name het Baloërveld hebben we prachtig gevonden. Tijdens ons bezoek rond medio augustus stond de heide prachtig in bloei. Maar ook op deMTB hebben we ons prima vermaakt. Route Sleen (ongeveer 30 km van het huis vandaan) maar ook parcours Gieten - Gasselte (ca. 5 km van het huisje) zijn vanuit Rolde goed te doen. Zeker een aanrader omdat de MTB-routes vrijwel naast het huisje starten.
