The nature house is part of a farmhouse built around 1850, whose cowshed was converted into a comfortable vacation home with its own entrance in the 1970s. On the first floor you will find the living room with sitting area, wood stove, open kitchen, dining table and French doors leading to a private terrace. The spiral staircase leads to the mezzanine with access to a double bed. There is a separate bedroom with two single beds. On the mezzanine floor there is a second spacious sitting area, a desk and a play corner for children. On this floor you will also find the bathroom with shower and toilet.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located off the road on a ridge, between the valleys of the Arize and Lèze near the village of Sieuras. The terrace faces south-east and offers views of the garden, the surrounding hills and countryside and the nearby artists' village of Carla-Bayle. The northern part of the Ariège department is traditionally an area of small-scale agriculture, where sunflowers and grain alternate in the fields. The self-sufficient culture of the region is reflected in the colorful weekly and flea markets and traditional village festivals in the summer. This nature house is a place to enjoy peace and quiet, with the sound of the oriole and cuckoo all around you. Locally there are hiking trails and numerous bicycle routes both by road and through nature. The gite is also great for a retreat in nature for (online) work or study. There is high speed internet available. The spacious layout of the cottage allows everyone to find their place.
