It offers a retreat that turns away introverted from the world and at the same time stages the spectacular view of the valley for its inhabitants.While the visible facades on the slope side are largely closed and are only broken through by the narrow access door and a few small windows, the house opens to the "hidden" south side with a generous, floor-to-ceiling ribbon window that traces the polygonal development of the building, towards the spectacular view of the valley.

EifelThe Eifel is an extremely varied, unspoilt natural landscape in the west of Germany. The Volcanic Eifel lies at the heart of the region. With its distinctive volcanic cones, the associated maars and the deep valley incisions of the Lieser, Kyll and Kleine Kyll rivers, the Volcanic Eifel offers hikers and cyclists of all ages and abilities numerous places to visit. Protection and the surrounding area: In the town itself, the Burberg with its wild rock formations at the top and the remains of Roman settlements is a "must-see" walk. Cyclists are recommended to take the Kosmos cycle path from Daun to Meerfeld. In summer, you can enjoy a relaxing swim in the Meerfeld maar, which is also well worth a visit at other times of the year. Manderscheid with its two castles and the wild and romantic Lieserpfad trail is also one of the highlights in the immediate vicinity. Otherwise, there are wonderful hiking and cycling opportunities in all directions directly from the house, even without a fixed route, and there is a large playground with a meadow for children in the village. The Nerother Kopf with its tall old beech forest and the Freudenkoppe castle ruins is a mystical experience, especially in foggy weather.
