This charming, authentic wooden cottage is located in the outskirts of Epse on a dirt road in an idyllic spot in a private grove of 0.2 ha. The simply furnished cottage consists of a living-dining kitchen with 2 bedrooms, a large private garden and lots of privacy. We occasionally use the cottage ourselves so don't expect standard furnishings. The furnishing: simple but stylish, lots of scaffolding wood, cast floor, wood stove, French doors to the garden and bathroom with walk-in shower. There is a well-equipped kitchen with old-style dishwasher, oven and microwave. There is a bedroom with a double bed (box spring 180 x 200) and an additional bedroom with a low 2 bed in the attic. (wooden stairs) and a sofa bed. There is fiberglass, no TV. Delicious is also the large covered veranda with a 2nd wood stove where you sit outside in the shade. Upon arrival, the bed is made, there is bath and kitchen linen. We live next door. Summer and vacation rentals per week.
Nature and surroundings
The cottage is located in the outskirts of wooded Epse. The cottage is located on a dirt road. If you are lucky, you will see a squirrel, woodpecker or deer in the garden. 3 km from the popular village of Gorssel, 4 km from Deventer and 9 km from historic Zutphen. Two beautiful Hanseatic cities, each with its own character. In Gorssel you should not miss Museum More! You will find cozy stores and terraces. Deventer offers particularly nice shopping streets, De Brink, good restaurants, theater and (film) theater. Walking in the forests of Epse, Joppe, Gorssel and the Gorsselse heath. Through the extensive bicycle or walking network you will discover the Achterhoek past beautiful estates, quiet places, farm stores and quiet villages. Nature lovers and bird watchers can enjoy themselves here. Here you will find the perfect opportunity to really unwind in nature combined with the vibrancy of small-town life and culture.
