Nature house in Clairvaux les Lacs

A nostalgic old French house in a secluded, tree-lined valley, situated right along the Le Drouvenant River in the charming village of Clairvaux-les-Lacs. The house can accommodate up to 9 people across 2 apartments. Apartment 2 sleeps 5 people and features 2 bedrooms, a living room, a private fully equipped kitchen, a shower with toilet, satellite TV, and good Internet reception (no free Wi-Fi). The house, originally a watermill, is tucked away in a peaceful setting, yet within walking distance of the town center with its various shops and outdoor cafes. You can relax in our spacious garden, equipped with all amenities such as picnic tables, patio furniture, a BBQ, and a fire pit for cozy evenings, or on the charming beach of Lake Clairvaux (a 5-minute drive away). Enjoy the tranquility by the water and the cozy, authentic atmosphere of our house, which is over 200 years old; pets are warmly welcome in the fully enclosed garden.

The Jura region is beautiful and diverse, with its hills and numerous caves and waterfalls. There are plenty of sights to see and activities to enjoy, such as canoeing, an adventure park, horseback riding, wine and cheese tours, a castle tour, lakes, caves, and waterfalls—all in the immediate vicinity. From our house, there are plenty of beautiful hiking trails that always take you past water and through wooded areas with hidden, expansive landscapes. There are all kinds of brochures in the house, and you can also discover plenty on your own via juralacs.com—the site is also available in Dutch. A 15-minute walk from the house takes you to Lake Clairvaux, with its lovely sandy beach, cozy terrace, and restrooms. There’s pedal boat and boat rentals, and a playground for the kids. Paid parking during high season.
