Nature house in Messerich

The cottage itself was also very nice. There is a lot of space, I could use a shed to store my bike. You can charge electric bikes there on a system provided by the landlords. The house stays nice and cool because it is on the first floor. The bed was a little too hard for us, but we still slept well overall.

Het huisje zelf was ook erg fijn. Er is veel ruimte, ik kon gebruik maken van een schuur om mijn fiets te stallen. Elektrische fietsen kun je er opladen aan een systeem van de verhuurders.
Het huis blijft lekker koel omdat het op de benedenverdieping ligt.

Het bed was voor ons iets te hard, maar we hebben over het algemeen toch goed geslapen.

A very nice residence where you have your own space. The first floor is fully furnished living space, with a bathroom, living room/kitchen and a bedroom. This floor is on the level of the garden, as soon as you step outside you look out on the beautiful pool.From the cottage you can do a lot, within 10min in Bitburg, within 20 in Irrel (hiking), within 30 in Luxembourg or the Moselle.The landlords were very nice people who gave us tips and we could always contact them for more info if we needed it. They themselves live on the floor above, you have total peace and only contact if you want it yourself.We really enjoyed our stay.

Een heel fijn verblijf waar je je eigen ruimte hebt. De benedenverdieping is volledig ingericht tot woonruimte, met een badkamer, woonkamer/keuken en een slaapkamer. Deze verdieping ligt op het niveau van de tuin, zodra je buiten stapt kijk je op het prachtige zwembad uit.

Vanuit het huisje kun je veel doen, binnen 10min in Bitburg, binnen 20 in Irrel (hiken), binnen 30 in Luxemburg of de Moezel.

De verhuurders waren hele aardige mensen die ons tips gaven en we konden ze altijd contacten voor meer info als we dat nodig hadden. Ze leven zelf op de verdieping erboven, je hebt totale rust en alleen contact als je dat zelf wilt.

Wij hebben erg van ons verblijf genoten.

Hiking, biking, being active on the water is wonderful here. Many attractions and nice central location for trips.

Wandelen, fietsen, actief zijn op het water is hier prachtig.
Veel bezienswaardigheden en mooie centrale ligging voor uitstapjes.

Joachim and Monique are very hospitable and kind people. We enjoyed both our peace and coziness. From Messerich you can walk in Berdorf and Echternach and cycle along the Moselle (with a regular bike). Biking with an e-bike (rent at the tourist office in Bitburg) if you want to see the surroundings nearby. By car to Trier in 30 minutes. And more, which we did not get to. If you want to cycle around the cottage with a regular bike, you have to be in good shape. Although you can cycle to Bitburg with a regular bike.

Joachim en Monique zijn zeer gastvrije en aardige mensen. We hebben genoten van zowel onze rust als gezelligheid. Vanuit Messerich kun je wandelen in Berdorf en Echternach en fietsen langs de Moezel (met een gewone fiets). Fietsen met een e-bike (huren bij het VVV in Bitburg) als je de omgeving in de buurt wilt zien. Met de auto naar Trier in 30 minuten. En nog meer, waar we niet aan toegekomen zijn.
Als je wilt fietsen in de buurt van het huisje met een gewone fiets, dan moet je wel een goede conditie hebben. Al kun je wel met een gewone fiets wel naar Bitburg fietsen.

Very quiet (and rich) neighborhood. Lovely pool with counter-current so you can swim laps. Nice garden and terrace. And the space inside was also fine.

Zeer rustige (en rijke) buurt. Heerlijk zwembad met tegenstroom, zodat je baantjes kunt trekken. Fijne tuin en terras. En ook de ruimte binnen was prima.
