We have carefully and tastefully restored this once-abandoned ruin with great attention to detail. The vacation home “La Chiesetta” is completely independent and features its own driveway, private terrace, and garden. It is located about 60 meters from the main house, which we live in year-round. It’s a lovely cottage, part of the impressive traditional Masseria Conce, with beautiful buildings and thick walls. Surrounding the Masseria—and the cottage—is a beautiful grounds with (fruit) trees and plants, with a hammock here and there. Peaceful surroundings, private driveway, plenty of privacy.
The cottage has a practical layout, a simple kitchen, comfortable beds, and is fully equipped with mosquito screens (there are small biting mosquitoes). There are several terraces, so you have plenty of options for sitting in the sun or out of it. It’s convenient that there’s a large supermarket and a bakery nearby.
The hostess is friendly and approachable but not intrusive. She’s there when you need her—no more, no less.
