The Water Lodge (with bathtub) is a luxury vacation cottage from Pean-buiten. It’s in a very private location, nestled among the waterfront homes. In this cottage, you’ll experience Friesland at its best. Close to open waterways, away from the hustle and bustle. The large windows offer a sweeping view of the water, the Lytse Ie. The Waterlodge is the most luxurious cottage inside thanks to its bathtub. On a chilly evening, you can cozy up by the wood stove. Ideal for one or two couples or friends seeking tranquility. You can enjoy views of the Wijde Ee from the terrace or the raised sitting area. The cottage is well-equipped and comes with all the basic amenities. The seating area is slightly elevated, so you can look out over the water from the sofa, past the small dike. A round dining table stands between the kitchen and the seating area. An extra seating spot has also been created by the window in the kitchen. That way, you’ll always find a cozy spot.

Pean-buiten is located directly on the Wijde Ee, a waterway that is part of one of Friesland’s most beautiful boating areas. From this lake, you can easily sail northeast (without crossing any bridges) to Grou or the Alde Feanen National Park, home to the villages of Eernewoude and De Veenhoop. If you sail southwest, you’ll reach Akkrum, Terherne, and the Sneekermeer. Experience this beautiful area from the water by canoe, SUP board, rowboat, motorboat, or sailboat. Thanks to its diversity, the waterways are ideal for both beginners and experienced water sports enthusiasts. In addition, there are various cycling and hiking opportunities in the area. The mix of meadows and waterways characterizes the Frisian landscape. The restaurants, bars, and cultural offerings in the various villages—such as Akkrum, Grou, de Veenhoop, and Aldeboarn—are excellent.
