This nature house is nestled among the trees, close to the playground and next to the shallow body of water known as the Lytse Ie. The pitched roof and glass gables create a spacious interior. A 70 m2 wooden waterfront cabin for six people, with three bedrooms. One room has two single beds, one has a bunk bed, and one has a double bunk bed, accommodating a total of four people. A large shared dock with a terrace and picnic table is located 60 meters away, right on the open waterway. Together with Ljip and Goudûle, Skries can also be rented as a group accommodation for ten to sixteen people. Inside, there is a wood stove. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, an oven, and an electric stove. There is approximately 400 m² of open space around the cottage. Dogs are welcome; the maximum is two, at a cost of 25 euros per dog per stay. Beds are not made upon arrival; made beds can be booked as an add-on. Bath towels and kitchen linens are included.
Nature and surroundings
You’ll be staying at our location: twelve wooden waterfront lodges and three group accommodations spread across three hectares, right next to De Alde Feanen National Park. The property is situated on the Wijde Ee. From this lake, you can paddle to Grou or De Alde Feanen without crossing any bridges, and in the other direction to Akkrum and the Sneekermeer. The area is surrounded by meadows, reed beds, and canals, and the sounds of birds are all you’ll hear. Cars are parked in the central parking lot, which has six charging stations; you can walk to your cabin with a luggage cart. On the grounds, there’s a play area, a playground, a ping-pong table, and a water slide that ends in the lake. You can rent the floating sauna in two-hour blocks, and upon request, it can be taken out onto the lake. You can rent a rowboat, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard on-site. The village and Akkrum train station are 4 kilometers away, Grou is 10 kilometers away, and Leeuwarden is 20 kilometers away. Akkrum has held Green Key Gold certification since 2024 and is a fireworks-free zone.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
