Waterlodge is a unique waterfront vacation home for 2–8 people. It offers plenty of privacy thanks to the trees surrounding it. There’s plenty of space for children to play. Skries is close to the playground and also to the shallow water feature, the Lytse Ie. Thanks to the pointed roof and glass gables, you’ll feel like you’re in a sea of space inside. In this cottage, you’ll feel like you’ve truly escaped the hustle and bustle—not just outside on the terrace, but also inside the cottage itself. This is thanks to the many windows, the expansive view, and the unique location. It’s fully equipped with all the amenities you need for a pleasant stay. On a chilly evening, you can cozy up by lighting the wood stove. Suitable for a family of up to 8 people, for example, but the Waterlodge is also an excellent vacation home for groups of friends. Nature and surroundings
Pean-buiten is located directly on the Wijde Ee, a waterway that is part of one of Friesland’s most beautiful boating areas. From this lake, you can easily head northeast (without crossing any bridges) to Grou or the Alde Feanen National Park, home to the villages of Eernewoude and De Veenhoop. If you head southwest, you’ll reach Akkrum, Terherne, and the Sneekermeer. Experience this beautiful area from the water by canoe, stand-up paddleboard, rowboat, motorboat, or sailboat. Thanks to its diversity, the waterways are ideal for both beginners and experienced water sports enthusiasts. In addition, there are various cycling and hiking opportunities in the area. The alternating meadows and waterways are characteristic of the Frisian landscape. The restaurants, cafes, and cultural offerings in the various villages—such as Akkrum, Grou, De Veenhoop, and Aldeboarn—are excellent. You’ll find suggestions for day trips under “Activities.” Cars are parked in the central parking lot, which has six charging stations; you can walk to your cottage with a luggage cart.
