Nature and surroundings
You’ll be staying at our location: twelve wooden waterfront lodges and three group accommodations spread across three hectares, right next to De Alde Feanen National Park. The property is situated on the Wijde Ee. From this lake, you can boat to Grou or De Alde Feanen without crossing any bridges, and in the opposite direction to Akkrum and the Sneekermeer. The area is surrounded by meadows, reed beds, and canals, and the sounds of birds are all around you. Cars are parked in the central parking lot, which has six charging stations; you can walk to your cabin with a luggage cart. On the grounds, there’s a play area, a playground, a ping-pong table, and a water slide that ends in the lake. You can rent the floating sauna in two-hour blocks, and upon request, it can be taken out onto the lake. You can rent a rowboat, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard on-site. The village and train station of Akkrum are 4 kilometers away, Grou is 10 kilometers away, and Leeuwarden is 20 kilometers away. Akkrum has held Green Key Gold certification since 2024 and is a fireworks-free zone.
