Nature house in Hoenderloo

I wouldn't call it a nature house :-)

Ik zou het geen natuurhuisje noemen :-)

Was an excellent accommodation. It was not really quiet; busy road, lots of traffic. Still better than expected. Based on previous reviews, I actually didn't even want to come, but it was not too bad.

Was een prima onderkomen. Echt rustig was het niet; drukke weg, veel verkeer.
Toch beter dan verwacht. Op basis van eerdere reviews wilde ik eigenlijk niet eens komen, maar het viel allemaal reuze mee.

The cottage looked very well maintained when we arrived. Despite the poor insulation and humidity, it was almost completely clean! All the necessary amenities were there. Impressive for such a small house! Cramped but cozy! The communication with the landlord was very smooth, so we were completely satisfied with that as well. If you have PDS or something, please note: there is no door between the toilet and the rest of the cottage, just a cloth! You can smell and hear everything. Fortunately, there is an exhaust system.Cooking was also good. There is an electric stove with some pans, a microwave and a small refrigerator. To get to the faucet you do have to pass by the bed every time, which can be tricky if you're a little wider. The bed is unfortunately only suitable for back sleepers, if you're a side sleeper like me it's a little less comfortable. We were very pleased with it! Thanks for the great experience! Our dog had a great time too! Especially the hiking was top notch.

Het huisje zag er erg goed onderhouden uit toen wij aankwamen. Ondanks de slechte isolatie en de vochtigheid was het wel bijna helemaal schoon! Alle benodigde voorzieningen waren aanwezig. Impressive voor zon klein huisje! Krap maar knus!

De communicatie met de verhuurder verliep erg soepel, dus daar waren we ook helemaal tevreden mee.

Als je PDS hebt of zoiets, let wel op: er zit geen deur tussen de WC en de rest van het huisje, alleen maar een doek! Je ruikt en hoort alles. Er is gelukkig wel een afzuigsysteem.

Koken ging ook goed. Er is een elektrische kookplaat met wat pannen, een magnetron en een kleine koelkast. Om naar de kraan te komen moet je wel iedere keer langs het bed, wat lastig kan zijn als je iets breder bent.

Het bed is helaas alleen geschikt voor rugslapers, als je een zijslaper bent zoals ik dan ligt het wat minder comfortabel.

We waren er erg tevreden mee! Bedankt voor de geweldige ervaring! Onze hond had het ook naar zijn zin! Vooral het wandelen was top.

As mentioned before, the cottage is right next to a busy road. This did not bother us much when we sat inside with all doors closed, but outside you hear it very well. The environment is great! We came here initially for the forest, but south of the cottage is a very nice route that used to be the Hoenderloo Group (with survival courses), now a mountain bike route for children. Most of the courses are still there too! It's a great route to walk with a dog. You can see the route on apps like Mapy or Maps.me.Another beautiful piece was the Landgoed Kleijn Barlo south of the village of Hoenderloo. This is a kind of forest park with very nice hiking trails. This also sits right next to a very popular ice cream parlor IJs van Co. The forest itself north of the cottage we only went into once, which was a little less, because it also rained a lot during our trip :( It sits right next to a large shooting range. Despite the rain, the hiking was super fun!

Zoals al vaker gezegd is, het huisje ligt vlak naast een drukke weg. Hier hadden we niet veel last van als we binnen zaten met alle deuren dicht, maar buiten hoor je het wel heel goed.

De omgeving is geweldig! We kwamen hier initieel voor het bos, maar ten zuiden van het huisje is een hele mooie route die vroeger van De Hoenderloo Groep was (met survivalparcours), nu een mountainbike route voor kinderen. De meeste parcours staan er ook nog! Het is een fantastische route om met een hond te lopen. Je kan de route zien op apps zoals Mapy of Maps.me.

Nog een mooi stuk was het Landgoed Kleijn Barlo ten zuiden van het dorpje Hoenderloo. Dit is een soort bos park met hele leuke wandelroutes. Deze zit ook recht naast een hele populaire ijssalon IJs van Co.

Het bos zelf ten noorden van het huisje zijn we maar 1x ingegaan, die was iets minder, want het regende ook veel tijdens onze trip :( Het zit recht naast een groot schietkamp.

Ondanks de regen was het wandelen wel super leuk!

Path to the cottage is not easy by bike, too narrow, not trimmed and obstacles on the path. (High tree roots and wooden beam). The cottage has only 1 room for living, some cooking, sleeping, shower and toilet. No window for ventilation and no hooks for coat and other clothes. In addition: the cottage was not clean, bed not changed. (Was quickly resolved, by the way!) Overdue maintenance, In short: not nice to stay.

Pad naar het huisje is met de fiets niet gemakkelijk, te smal, niet gesnoeid en obstakels op het pad. (Hoge boomwortels en houten balk).
Het huisje heeft slechts 1 ruimte voor wonen, wat koken, slapen, douche en toilet. Geen raampje om te ventileren en geen haken voor jas en andere kleding. Bovendien: het huisje was niet schoon, bed niet verschoond. (Werd overigens snel opgelost!) Achterstallig onderhoud, Kortom: niet fijn om te vertoeven.

Huisje ligt dichtbij een doorgaande weg met veel verkeer. Rondom het huisje is het groen.
