Wake up to a view of the farmlands? Sometimes even the deer from the adjacent forest walk through your garden! On a beautiful spot in the now popular Dokkum you will stay all year round very comfortable in our bed and breakfast with its own entrance, garden, living room including sofa bed, dining area, bedroom with a lovely double bed and a bathroom. Breakfast can be enjoyed in the b&b or outside on our garden furniture. Enjoying the beautiful view. V From the private terrace you can enjoy the green view. Sit down with a nice glass of wine or beer at the garden set and enjoy the sunset. Fancy a nice barbecue? This is optional to rent. Take a few steps forward and you are on the Dokkumer Ee which is connected to everything. Nature and surroundings
The northernmost city in the Netherlands has a rich history, but stands with both feet in clay. A down-to-earth with hip town, where you can shop and lounge after a long walk. With the Wadden Sea and Lauwersmeer area as its natural backyard, a week is soon too short to make all the trips from Dokkum that this High North has to offer. It is not at the end of the world, but you can see it from there. About 19 kilometers away sits the beautiful nature reserve of Lauwersoog. Here you can walk in the woods, relax on the beach, watch the many boats in the fishing harbor or of course eat a delicious fish in one of the many fish restaurants in Lauwersoog. From Lauwersoog you can also take the boat to Schiermonnikoog. The boat from Ameland is nearby. From Holwerd it sails directly to Ameland. When you get off the boat you can immediately rent bicycles. It is very nice to explore the island by bike.
