We had a fantastic time! The cottage was spotlessly clean, fully equipped, decorated with great attention to detail and care, and surrounded by a beautiful, flower-filled garden. The hosts had left fresh eggs from their chickens in the fridge and a bottle of wine waiting for us. Their house is right next to the nature house, but they’re very considerate of their guests’ privacy.

During the day, the garden is lovely and sunny, and in the evening, you can enjoy beautiful stargazing. From the breakfast table inside, you look out over the trees and can spot birds. There’s a beautiful forest (the Blauwe Bos) right nearby, where you can enjoy a picnic in an open clearing. The Dark Sky Park/Lauwersmeer was a 45-minute drive away. Plenty of peace and quiet, and plenty to do!

We hebben een fantastische tijd gehad! Het huisje was perfect schoon, van alle gemakken voorzien, met veel aandacht en zorg ingericht, en voorzien van een mooie, bloemrijke tuin. De hosts hadden verse eieren van de kippen in de koelkast gelegd en er stond een flesje wijn klaar. Hun huis ligt naast het natuurhuisje, maar ze gaan zorgvuldig met de gasten om qua privacy.

Overdag is de tuin lekker zonnig en 's avonds kun je prachtig sterren kijken. Vanaf de ontbijttafel binnen kijk je uit over bomen en kun je mooi vogels spotten. In de directe omgeving is een mooi bos (het Blauwe Bos) waar je fijn kunt picknicken op een open veld in dat bos. Het Dark Sky Park/Lauwersmeer was op 45 minuten rijden. Genoeg rust en genoeg te doen!

A really nice little house with everything you need. We were traveling by motorcycle, and they let us park our bikes inside the shed. Very friendly owners.

Heel mooi huisje met alles wat je nodig hebt. We waren op de motor en we mochten onze motoren binnen in de schuur wegzetten. Hele vriendelijke eigenaren.

A lovely place to unwind in the peaceful surroundings of Friesland and Drenthe. Nice bike routes through the Fochteloërveen and Blauwe Bos, passing through towns like Een, Veenhuizen, and Haule.

Fijne plek om tot rust te komen in de rustige omgeving van Friesland/Drenthe. Leuke fietsroutes door het Fochteloërveen en Blauwe Bos, langs plaatsjes als Een, Veenhuizen en Haule.

A wonderful place to unwind—the name “Buitengewoon” truly lives up to its name! Every detail has been thought of in this cottage, which was built by the owner herself. A warm and heartfelt welcome from the friendly owner. Beautiful surroundings, with views from the cottage (and terrace) of the forest edge, birds, squirrels, wood mice, and a gorgeous flower garden.

Heel fijne plek om tot rust te komen, de naam "Buitengewoon" doet zijn eer aan! Aan alles is gedacht, in dit door de eigenaar zelf gebouwde huisje. Een warm en hartelijk welkom door de vriendelijke eigenaresse. Mooie omgeving, met vanuit het huisje (en terras) uitzicht op de bosrand en vogeltjes, eekhoorn, bosmuisjes, en een prachtige bloementuin.
