We are starting to rent out our idyllic forest house as a holiday home after an extension phase. The garden and forest offer plenty of space to spend time close to nature. There is the possibility to barbecue, take walks in the forest, hiking tours, rest, read, go on excursions to nearby Trier or sit outside in the evening under the starry sky or under a roof. Ideal for taking a break from everyday urban life surrounded by trees.The house has two floors and a covered outdoor seating place. The basement is one big living room, a closed fireplace and an open kitchen, which is fitted with all utensils you need for cooking. The cottage is beautifully and tastefully decorated, including various photos taken by the owner. One drawback for people taller than 1.80 m is the beam in the bedroom, which is 1.80 m high. This was a “near miss” for me a few times.
In hot weather (we had temperatures of 30–35°C every day), the ground floor stays pleasantly cool, though the bedroom on the first floor does get quite warm.
If you’re staying there with children, parents will have little privacy in the bedroom because the children’s sleeping area is open to the master bedroom.
The village of Morscheid itself has no amenities, except for the cemetery.
