The cottage is located on the private Domaine in the middle of nature. The thick stone walls of the cottage, combined with modern double glazing and electric heating, guarantee coolness in summer and warmth in winter. The open sitting room on the ground floor features a comfortable corner sofa with lighting for quiet reading in the evening. The dining area contains a wooden table with 4 chairs. The small open kitchen contains modern appliances; larger amenities include an induction hob, refrigerator, oven/microwave and coffee and tea making equipment. Through a steep staircase you reach the mezzanine with a double bed (160x200cm), with next to it a small bedroom with two narrow single beds (80x190cm) for children. The small modern bathroom has a walk-in shower, WC and sink. Towels included. The cottage is located on the same domaine as our other cottage (4pers see: www.natuurhuisje.nl/vakantiehuisje/69128) and they can possibly be booked together.
Nature and surroundings
One of the highlights of the cottage is your own walled courtyard garden in an old ruin. Surrounded by the scent of rosemary and sage, there you are completely private and shielded from the outside world. You can hear the crickets in summer, the deer belling at sunset, and the owl calling after sunset. The starry sky is breathtaking because of the low light pollution in the area. The Milky Way can be seen beautifully, as can shooting stars in August. The trees and vineyards are covered in lichen, a sign of the clean air. The domaine includes a natural vineyard and on the surrounding hills the walls of remnants of centuries-old vineyards are still visible. There are thousands of kilometers of hiking trails from the house, from small paths to 'grandes randonnées', and Cahors (7km) is on the route of Santiago de Compostella. With the historic town of Cahors with its ancient food market (Wednesdays& Saturdays) a 10-minute drive away, it combines the best of both worlds.

The pool in Cahor is clean and fun for the kids, the lake in Catus with water activities is very nice and relaxed! In short we had a super nice vacation. The accommodation was clean, fully equipped and a lovely place to be!!!

Het zwembad in Cahor is schoon en leuk voor de kinderen, het meer in Catus is met wateractiviteiten ontzettend gezellig en relaxed! Kortom wij hebben een super fijne vakantie gehad. De accommodatie was schoon, volledig uitgerust en een heerlijke plek om te zijn!!
