Be the only guests at this house. Stay in a beautiful spacious 1850's farmhouse set in Parkland and woodland. We have respectfully restored the farmhouse keeping original features while updating for modern comfort. The accommodation is very flexibile. Enjoy the well equipped Games room under the gite with lots of choice. Stroll in the garden and wander into our woodland walks. Enjoy the swings and ball games. We have provided loungers for sunbathing. There are two BBQs, charcoal and gas with complementary gas for your stay. There are numerous terraces to enjoy meals from or just to relax. We have installed a water purification and softening system so water is safe and lovely to drink. You can reconnect with nature enjoying the wildlife and nearby river swimming in the Dordogne, one of the cleanest rivers in Europe. Only 5 minutes from Cenac with shops, 20 minutes from Sarlat and near the Dordogne Valley tourist sites.

Nature and surroundings

Your Gite is set in 5,5 hectares of parkland, meadow and woodland allowing you to enjoy amazing tranquility. The natural woodlands are home to a wide variety of native birds and deer. The garden has a variety of trees for you to enjoy with a 200 year old oak opposite the gite and 100 year old cedar trees. The meadow provides a fantastic opportunity for stargazing with little light pollution. You can stroll through the parkland and the two forests on site. There are many quiet local walks direct from the gite and we will be happy to share these with you. ​There is swimming available in the Dordogne river nearby. We are five minutes by car from scenic bathing spots to enjoy one of the cleanest rivers in Europe. The water is fresh and cool on a hot summer's day and perfect to enjoy a picnic. We have river towels available for guests and we can show you our favourite swimming areas. While close to all tourist sites, your gite provides a haven of tranquility.

    A very neat house, with lots of space inside and outside.The owners are very friendly and have good tips for the possibilities in the area.The cottage is large and very complete in terms of inventory.
