Behind a huge, ancient oak that seems to play the role of guardian, appears an old stone farmhouse, nestling among tall cypresses. Inside, the windows are transformed into picture frames: olive, fig, cherry trees, meadows dotted with thousands of colours and, on the horizon, the sweetness of the Apennine hills. In addition to our own apartment there are just two others, both with a private entrance. Each apartment is furnished as if it were our own home, with a style that combines the typical features of Tuscan country houses with elements that evoke other places, other times, other journeys... This is the smaller of the two apartments, but can comfortably accommodate 4 people. It is approximately 50 sqm and includes a large living room with a very comfortable sofa bed and kitchen area (fully equipped with all the utilities you need for cooking), a double bedroom, and a spacious bathroom with shower.
Nature and surroundings
This nature house is situated on a hill, about 6 km from the medieval village of Anghiari. It can be reached along a winding road that runs among cypress, oak, holm oak, olive trees and cultivated fields that change colour from season to season. Our surrounding land, 4.5 hectares, is partly wooded and partly cultivated with olive and fruit trees. The location is unique: Anghiari, considered one of "the most beautiful villages in Italy", is located in the corner of Tuscany that borders with Umbria and Marche. Places to visit are numerous: cities of art just a few kilometres away, museums and churches with rich heritages, small medieval villages, pathways that wind through castles, natural parks and woods. But, if you prefer tranquillity,the silence around our house is absolute.

Truly a cottage to go back to!
Echt een huisje om naar terug te gaan!
What a nice place! We were in the apartment on the ground floor, with both a terrace on the side and in front a place with a bench, from which there was a beautiful view over the hills and morning sun. You are in the middle of nature, it is quiet, you only hear the birds. The beautiful town of Anghiari is 5 minutes away by car. The direct, unpaved, road to the house was in one place quite steep (and slippery from the rain), we had to take a long "run" with our heavy 4x4 in order not to slip away. Once you know that, something like that goes fine. The apartment was spacious, basic but nicely decorated and remarkably clean! Fine kitchen and lovely bathroom. The hosts, Sandra and Luciano, who live on the top floor, are very sweet, interested and helpful: they give information about the area (beautiful walks, best restaurants) and leave you alone. We had a great time!

Wij zaten in het apartement op de begane grond, met zowel aan de zijkant een terras en aan de voorkant een plek met een bankje, vanwaar een schitterend uitzicht over de heuvels en ochtendzon. Je zit er midden in de natuur, het is er stil, je hoort alleen de vogels. Het schitterende Anghiari ligt op 5 autominuten. De directe, onverharde, weg naar het huis was op één plek behoorlijk steil (en glad van de regen), wij moesten met onze zware 4x4 steeds een flinke ‘aanloop’ nemen om niet weg te glijden. Als je dat eenmaal weet, gaat zoiets prima. En het was het waard!
Het apartement was ruim, basic maar mooi ingericht en opvallend schoon! Fijne keuken en heerlijke badkamer. De hosts, Sandra en Luciano, die op de bovenste verdieping wonen, zijn geweldig lief, geïnteresseerd en behulpzaam: geven informatie over de streek (mooie wandelroutes, leukste eettentjes) en laten je verder lekker met rust.
