This nature house is located in the outskirts of Langbroek next to the farm. It has its own entrance and is suitable for 2 persons. The chalet has a fully equipped (open) kitchen with dishwasher, fridge with freezer, combi-oven, 4-burner induction stove, Senseo coffee machine, kettle and toaster. The spacious living room with French doors has a view of the meadows where deer, herons, swans, geese and storks walk. Also located on the roof of the part is an air duct where you can spot 2 owls (tawny and little owl). There is a TV (Ned. 1, 2, 3 and TV Utrecht) + chromecast. Bed is made. There is also a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. A towel set is for rent for € 20,-- This can be paid on arrival in cash or by tick. The cottage is wheelchair friendly, with underfloor heating and shutters. There is excellent Wifi and parking is free. I always like to meet my guests during the key exchange.
Nature and surroundings
Langbroek has about 2,200 inhabitants and falls under the municipality of Wijk bij Duurstede. It is mainly known for its beautiful castles, meadows, woods and water. Near Langbroek you will find several nice farm stores with homegrown fruit (pears, apples, cherries) and it is beautiful cycling and walking in the Kromme Rijnstreek. Wijk bij Duurstede is a characteristic town, where you can enjoy shopping, visiting museums, walking (with a guide) and restaurants. On the other side lies Doorn. Doorn is known for "Huize Doorn" (where the German Emperor stayed), the tree museum Gimborn, the Cape woods and has many cozy terraces/restaurants. In Odijk (5 km away) there is a bird hide. For a fee (and reservation) the most beautiful birds can be spotted there, but the most beautiful bird (the owl) you can see right from your house! In short......a lot to do!!!!
