Come spend the night in a real Native American teepee on a deserted island. The teepee is tastefully decorated with colorful rugs and pillows. Upon arrival, the beds—complete with excellent mattresses—are already made. Build a fire in the teepee and make it nice and warm and cozy. The smoke from the fire rises outside through the special smoke flaps. Gaze at the starry sky from your bed. Living in a teepee around a central point (the fire pit) creates a very special, secure feeling. Every child loves sleeping in a real Native American teepee! The teepee is fully equipped for 6 people with cabinets, a small table, a stove, a cooler, cooking supplies, tableware, a fire pit, and firewood. Each teepee has a picnic table and a hammock. Please note: the price includes parking, ferry rides to and from the island as often as you like, firewood, and showers.
Nature and surroundings
In the middle of Lake Veluwe, near Harderwijk, lies the four-hectare island of De Kluut, a green oasis of nature. A 10-minute boat ride takes you to the island. Once there, you’ll immediately feel as if you’ve stepped into a completely different world—free of cars and bicycles—where you can enjoy nature, the birds, the clean swimming water, and the fantastic view of Lake Veluwe. There are 15 tents spaced out generously across the island. There’s a large tent with high tables and a communal kitchen for general use. In the Tipi Lounge, you can relax around a cozy fire, play games, and roast marshmallows over the flames. The island features an excellent restroom facility and power outlets for charging mobile devices. Our ferry sails four times a day to Flevoland, from where you can go on all kinds of excursions. Eiland De Kluut offers a unique camping experience with peace and quiet, nature, and excellent facilities—ideal for an unforgettable vacation on Lake Veluwe.

We genoten van de fijne, zeer natuurlijke plek. De andere, hartelijke mensen die ons warm ontvingen. De humor van Doron. De openheid van Janneke. De yurt en het sanitair werd goed onderhouden. Een aanrader!
Ondanks dat we op een onbewoond eiland op het Veluwemeer verbleven, konden we het verkeer hard horen. Zeker bij onze yurt viel dit op.
