Nature house in Wijnaldum

We had a pleasant stay in this nice house in Friesland. A fine, rural location, where we can really unwind. Everything you need is present, which also makes it possible to, for example, cook extensive meals. With the bike (present at the house) you are so at the sea dike overlooking the Wadden Sea, or in Harlingen and on the ferry to for example Vlieland or Terschelling. The small villages in the area are also a must to visit. The owner of the cottage is building a food garden/forest a stone's throw from the cottage, which is slowly taking shape. The contact with the landlord was smooth and on arrival there was a sweet message ready and some additional information about the WIFI and some appliances. Plus a delicious jar of homemade plum jam. One small downside: especially in the fall, nature sometimes comes in a bit, especially in the form of spiders (webs).

We hebben een prettig verblijf gehad in dit leuke huis in Friesland. Een fijne, landelijke locatie, waar we echt tot rust kunnen komen. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig, waardoor het ook goed mogelijk is om bijvoorbeeld uitgebreid te koken. Met de fiets (aanwezig bij het huisje) ben je zo bij de zeedijk met uitzicht over de Waddenzee, of in Harlingen en op de veerboot naar bijvoorbeeld Vlieland of Terschelling. Ook de kleine dorpjes in de omgeving zijn een aanrader om te bezoeken.
De eigenaar van het huisje legt op steenworp afstand van het huisje een voedseltuin/-bos aan, wat langzaam meer vorm krijgt. Erg leuk om hier eens in rond te lopen.
Het contact met de verhuurder liep soepel en bij aankomst lag er een lief bericht klaar en wat aanvullende informatie over de WIFI en een aantal apparaten. Plus een heerlijke pot zelfgemaakte pruimenjam.
Een klein minpuntje: met name in de herfst komt de natuur soms ook een beetje naar binnen, met name in de vorm van spinnen(webben).

The Frisian landscape is beautiful, especially if you like distant views and the sea. Because the landscape is so open, however, the wind has free play, which can make the outdoor experience a bit chilly. There is plenty of peace and quiet, especially in the low season. The Wadden Islands of Terschelling and Vlieland are easily accessible from the cottage, which is also a nice addition if you like the dunes and forest.

Het Friese landschap is prachtig, met name wanneer je van verre uitzichten en de zee houdt. Ruimte volop dus!
Doordat het landschap zo open is, heeft de wind echter wel vrij spel, wat de buitenbeleving wat kouder kan maken.
Rust is er volop, met name in het laagseizoen.
De Waddeneilanden Terschelling en Vlieland zijn goed te bereiken vanuit het huisje, wat ook een leuke aanvulling is als je van de duinen en bos houdt.

The house is superbly equipped. The proximity to Harlingen and the IJsselmeer invites you to spontaneous excursions.

Das Haus ist super ausgestattet. Die Nähe zu Harlingen und zum IJsselmeer läd zu spontanen Ausflügen ein.

A great place to relax and unwind. We had a wonderful time.

Ein toller Ort um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit.

Really very well equipped, plenty of towels etc, large refrigerator, excellent pans, modern appliances, very spacious bedrooms upstairs, only slightly dark and occasionally chilly due to the envelope of greenery made it a hair less for us.

Echt zeer goed geoutilleerd, ruim veel handdoeken e.d., grote koelkast, prima pannen, moderne apparatuur, zeer ruime slaapkamers boven, enkel ietwat donker en af en toe killig door de omhulling van groen maakte het voor ons een haartje minder.

Very quiet location, lots of space there, especially further back two grassy areas with picnic table and a spacious deck in the canal. House directly enveloped by bushes and trees, makes something dark and chilly inside at times, excellent stove fixes that immediately, very cozy though. Keeps heat right out. Beautiful view to the rear of the Wadden dike and fascinating color skies. Inside beautifully decorated, characteristic as in Friesland, lots of seating, great kitchen with almost everything on and on. Screens everywhere. Large barn for bicycles.

Zeer rustig gelegen, veel ruimte er bij, vooral verder naar achteren twee grasvelden met picknick tafel en een ruime vlonder in de vaart. Huis direct omhuld door struiken en bomen, maakt af en toe iets donker en killig binnen, prima kachel verhelpt dat direct, wel heel sfeervol. Houdt juist hitte tegen. Fraai uitzicht naar achteren op de waddendijk en fascinerende kleuren luchten. Binnen fraai ingericht, karakteristiek als in Friesland, veel zit mogelijkheden, prima keuken met vrijwel alles er op en er aan. Overal horren. Grote schuur voor de fietsen.
