My Greek wife Ntia got the land 15 years ago from Ntia her father who used to be a farmer here. We made a traditional building with half-meter thick stone walls and only natural materials. Hard wooden doors and balcony doors gives a lot of painting but also satisfaction. Our natural cooling we made it so that we built the whole building with the back to the NW. That is where the cool breeze from the Adriatic Sea always comes from in the afternoon. Because of the chosen doors and windows with screens everywhere, the cool wind in the afternoon can cool the suites without energy-consuming air conditioning. Our water is rainwater that we collect in the winter and store and heat with solar panels. All our power comes from our other solar panels more than enough for to offer free charging to guests who come with an EV. My greatest moment was when I was able to charge my Tesla for the first time with our solar power.
Nature and surroundings
Our Boutique Apart Hotel is located among ancient olive groves far away from other houses and beautiful to be able to walk from your suite for hours without meeting anyone. In short we are located in the middle of nature at 340 meters altitude. From your suite you have a beautiful view of the whole island and the Ionian Sea. We have made our outdoor lights so that you can safely walk to your suite but also see the Milky Way. Although in the middle of nature, many beaches and 14 restaurants are within a 10-minute drive.
