The villa is superbly located just 300 meters from the center of the small tourist town of La Roche-en-Ardenne. (The pearl of the Ardennes). The view of the 12th-century feudal castle is illuminated in the evening. The gite is a 4-epis gite Citadin. A pet is accepted. Victoire will be delighted to welcome you in Dutch, Flemish and English, within the limits of her knowledge. Many walks start from La Roche en Ardenne. A garage for bikes and motorcycles is at your disposal, car parking is free, everything is planned to make your stay a pleasant one.
Nature and surroundings
The region has a lot to offer:- The 12th-century feudal castle is surrounded by a loop of the Ourthe river, and in summer, the ghost of Berth haunts the ruins of the old batiste.- The Battle of the Ardennes Museum houses a magnificent collection of unique and remarkable artefacts from the 40-45 war.- The Game Park where you can meet animals from our forests and farms. Stroll along the pedestrian street to discover shops of all kinds, taverns and restaurants serving local produce. (Salaisons Ardennaises - Fromages et bières locales - Pâtés d'Ardenne - Truites de l'Ourthe...) - Every Sunday in season, a craft market is organized with local producers - 10 km away is the Nisramont dam and lake, surrounded by a splendid hiking trail - 12 km away is the Parc Chloropylle: a recreational and educational park for young and old.
