When our guests said this, we thought, Would more people want to enjoy this view, nature's fresh air, peace and quiet and the "back to basics" feeling? To share this experience with you, we rent our nature house with living & bedroom, kitchen, separate private shower/toilet, garden, linen & final cleaning. Condition: new, neat and clean.
Nature and surroundings
This nature house is part of the Arkelshoef estate and has been in the family since 1924. You will stay in the rural environment, with acres of land and farm animals nearby, a beautiful tranquility full of nature. A farm visit or tour of the estate (with various animals such as cows, calves, horses, sheep) is possible upon prior request.Also, you will stay in the green heart of fruit region Betuwe. Extensive cycling routes take you along the Linge in early spring. You can enjoy the many fruit trees in the area, which are then in full bloom. On our estate are standard pear trees of more than 100 years old. They still give plenty of fruit in the beautiful autumn.

Very well maintained, quiet, nice location, hospitable welcome
Zeer goed onderhouden, rustig, mooie ligging, gastvrij onthaal
This was a last minute booking and it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. The cottage is part of an old farmhouse, which is still functional. The cottage is very well maintained and fully equipped. When you go outside you look out over a meadow and you can also go into the farmyard, which includes an original flood barn and a 100+ year old pear orchard. The latter were just flowering out when I was there, but I was able to go into the orchard to take some wonderful photos. I was received very hospitably and the owners had even installed an extension cord so my electric bike could be inside and easily charged. The cottage is outside the village of Tricht, but within biking distance of it, as well as Geldermalsen. Many familiar places are within biking distance, including The apple dike which was in beautiful bloom. All in all, I had a wonderful rest at this beautiful location.
Dit was een last minute booking en het werd een zeer aangename ervaring. Het huisje is onderdeel van een oude boerderij, die nog altijd functioneel is. Het huisje is heel goed onderhouden en van alle gemakken voorzien. Als je naar buiten gaat kijk je uit over een weiland en je kunt ook het boerenerf op, met o.a. een originele vloed schuur en een meer dan 100 jaar oude peren boomgaard. Die laatste waren net uitgebloeid toen ik er was, maar ik kon de boomgaard in om prachtige foto’s te maken. Ik werd zeer gastvrij onthaald en de eigenaren hadden zelfs een verlengkabel aangelegd zodat mijn elektrische fiets binnen kon staan en gemakkelijk opgeladen kon worden. Het huisje ligt buiten het dorpje Tricht, maar op fietsafstand daarvan, evenals van Geldermalsen. Veel bekende plekken zijn op fietsafstand, w.o. De appel dijk die prachtig in bloei was. Al met al ben ik heerlijk tot rust gekomen op deze prachtige locatie.

Een uitstekend verzorgd huisje met een mooi terras.
Het was bij een actieve historische boerderij (4e generatie boer) in een super rustige omgeving; ideaal.
Op het terrein is ook een uilen- en roofvogelorganisatie die daar zo'n 15 vogels houdt. Interessant om er bij re hebben.
