Nature house in Coo / Stavelot

The front door is on the First floor; it opens onto the loft, which also features a (triple) bedroom, a separate toilet, and the bathroom. An open staircase leads down to the cozy living and dining area, a well-equipped kitchen featuring a dishwasher and microwave, and sliding doors to the south-facing patio. There is a freestanding wood stove. Instructions for using the stove are included in the folder inside the cottage. You can purchase firewood at the supermarket or home improvement store. There are also electric radiators. Downstairs is the second (double) bedroom with a sink. There is a stair gate at the bottom of the stairs, a high chair, a travel crib, and the terrace is fenced off, making this cottage suitable for young children. We have our own water source on the property. The property is less suitable for people with limited mobility due to the stairs leading up to the cottage (the cottages are built in terraces on a hillside). In winter, snow chains are definitely recommended!

Our cottage, fully renovated in the fall of 2022, is located in Coo, Stavelot. It’s nestled in a forest on a hill, among several dozen cottages in the park—a small vacation park in the Belgian Ardennes where you can enjoy endless hiking, biking, and canoeing. In winter, you can go downhill and cross-country skiing. The park does not offer any amenities. Our cottage stands alone, with an unobstructed view of the Amblève Valley from our terrace! It’s an ideal base for hikers, cyclists, those seeking peace and quiet, and nature lovers. But staying in isn’t a chore either, thanks to the stunning view from the living and dining area through the windows that span the full width of the cottage! Just over a kilometer away (by foot) are the Coo Waterfalls, Plopsa-Coo, various restaurants and outdoor cafes, and a range of tourist activities. Coo-adventure offers a wide selection of outdoor sports and family activities. Supermarkets and bakeries can be found in Trois Ponts, a few kilometers away.
