If you’re looking to unwind in the mountains, surrounded by forests and mountains, then this nature house is the perfect place to do so. Our house is located at the end of a road, right next to the forest in the mountains. From our house, you’ll enjoy a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains and forests, and from the balcony, you can spot deer, roe deer, squirrels, and many birds. In the spring and summer, the garden is in full bloom with the famous alpine flowers. You can also go on plenty of hikes starting from our house, ranging from 1 hour to 8 hours. A day hike along the via ferrata and up the Great Speigkofel offers stunning views of the surrounding area. And from our house, you can also see the Karawanken (the mountains of Slovenia) in the distance.
Nature and surroundings
If you’d like to go for a hike beyond our house and see more of the surrounding area, the entrance to the Nockenberg Hochalpenstraße is located at the foot of our mountain. This is also the Nockenberg nature reserve, which connects to the famous Hohen Tauern. Around our house and in the immediate vicinity, you can spot plenty of large wildlife, such as roe deer, red deer, chamois, and mouflon, as well as foxes, pine martens, squirrels, and all the birds native to the mountains, including the capercaillie. We are proud that “Lotte” meets all sustainability criteria and has therefore been awarded the ECOmodation sustainability label. Only minus point: the mattresses Response from landlord: We offer our house with 6 beds. However, there are 8 beds of which 2 are in a side room which we leave open for storage. Apparently you slept here. Too bad you did not use the other bedrooms because they were available to you. In these 3 bedrooms there are beds with good mattresses.

Reactie vanuit verhuurder: Wij bieden ons huis met 6 bedden aan. Er staan echter 8 bedden waarvan 2 in een zijkamertje wat wij openlaten voor opslag. Blijkbaar heeft u hier geslapen. Jammer dat u niet van de andere slaapkamers gebruik heeft gemaakt want die waren juist voor u beschikbaar. In deze 3 slaapkamers staan bedden met goede matrassen.Beautiful surroundings! Nice house, fully equipped. 1 minus point: the mattresses. Those are in need of replacement, spirals came through the lining which caused pain to your body.
Prachtige omgeving! Leuk huis, van alle gemakken voorzien. 1 minpunt: de matrassen. Die zijn wel aan vervanging toe, spiralen kwamen door de voering heen wat pijn aan je lijf veroorzaakte.

Spacious house on a very quiet piece.For the sporty, there is a lot of cycling/mountain biking.We did everything by car because the mountains are pretty steep.Excellent vacation!
