Welcome to our vacation home in a historically renovated barn in Cantal, Auvergne France, located in an oasis of peace and tranquility, in a beautiful village of Leynhac. The barn has a beautiful panorama of the valley and unspoiled nature. The cottage is the first floor of a renovated barn, the upper part is used by the owners. Both are separated so privacy is guaranteed. The cottage can accommodate 4 people and is equipped with all modalities to spend a carefree vacation. Beds with fresh, fresh sheets await you if you want to enjoy a deserved night's sleep. The thick walls of 90cm keep the rooms cool even in high temperatures. The house consists of living room, kitchen, bathroom with shower and toilet , 3 bedrooms, two double beds and a bunk bed, the children's room is a walk-through room and connected to another room. Garden furniture and barbecue let you enjoy landscape and garden.
Nature and surroundings
Leynhac is close to pearls of medieval villages : Marcolès, Maurs, Laroquebrou, Figeac... Not far from the central massif Auvergne including the plomp du Cantal and the Puy Mary. Ideal for hiking in this breathtakingly beautiful nature, also for mountain biking and cycling( recommended electric).There is a booklet with several nature trails available. Want to enjoy water sports is nearby a large lake Saint-Etienne de Cantales. Many villages have small lakes or municipal swimming pools. You can also kayak on the nearby Lot River. Cantal is famous for its culinary specialties and its A.O.P.cheeses, Cantal,bleu d'auvergne, salers, saint-nactaire. Neat and respectfully renovated, well equipped, spacious and very quiet house. That quiet location, the excellent beds and the thick walls that keep out the summer heat very efficiently made it a great place to sleep. Moreover, the children enjoyed the small but well constructed and perfectly maintained swimming pool! The owners are very pleasant people: warm, welcoming, friendly, helpful and with a thorough knowledge of the area.
Netjes en met respect gerenoveerd, goed uitgerust, ruim en erg rustig gelegen huis. Door die rustige ligging, de prima bedden en de dikke muren die de zomerse warmte heel efficiënt buiten houden, was het er heerlijk slapen. De kinderen hebben bovendien genoten van het kleine maar goed geconstrueerde en perfect onderhouden zwembad! De eigenaars zijn erg aangename mensen: warm, gastvrij, vriendelijk, behulpzaam en met een grondige kennis van de streek.
The vast, ever-rolling Cantal is truly a must-see. Imagine the most beautiful parts of the Belgian Ardennes? You get such an image behind every corner there. A beautiful, open and quiet region with pretty villages where there is always something interesting to see. Highly recommended for those who like to discover new things and always feel nature nearby. I have rarely seen so many birds of prey together. Wonderful for avid cyclists too.... but best make sure you are in good shape if you bring your bike.
De uitgestrekte, altijd glooiende Cantal is echt een aanrader. Beeld je de mooiste stukken van de Belgische Ardennen in? Zo'n beeld krijg je daar achter elke bocht. Een mooie, open en rustige streek met mooie dorpjes waar altijd wel iets interessants te zien valt. Sterk aanbevolen voor wie graag nieuwe dingen ontdekt en de natuur altijd nabij wil voelen. Ik heb nog maar zelden zoveel roofvogels bij elkaar gezien. Heerlijk voor fervente fietsers ook... maar zorg er best voor dat je goed in conditie bent als je je fiets meebrengt.
