Our smûke (cozy) cottage has a spacious sitting room and well-equipped kitchen with combi-microwave, refrigerator with freezer compartment, coffee maker (filter), cup machine, sitting with t.v., a dining table for 4 people. Bedroom with adjacent shower, toilet and sink. A lovely little garden with canopy overlooking the meadows. Good for 2 well-behaved dogs. Adjacent courtyard with sauna, outdoor shower, plunge pool and space to store bikes. Private entrance and privacy. Bath, bed and kitchen linen must be brought with you. The bedroom has a bed of 180x200 with two separate mattresses with single comforters. Use of sauna 60.00 euros per stay. Upon departure on Sunday, you can stay in the cottage until 20h.
Nature and surroundings
The ancient cultural landscape of the 'Noardelike Fryske Wâlden' (Northern Frisian Woods) in the middle of which our cottage is situated is beautiful. Characteristic are the alder meanders, wooded banks and pingoes. Nowhere in Europe can such an exceptionally beautiful coulisse landscape be found. Farmers once created the rows of trees around the pastures as cattle fencing. The almost intact area has been declared a National Landscape. It is a paradise for hikers, cyclists and nature lovers.
