The artists' village of Dötlingen and the district town of Wildeshausen can be easily reached by bike on a picturesque route along the River Hunte. Here you will find a wonderful, varied range of restaurants and shops. For even more variety and life, the cities of Oldenburg and Bremen can be reached in around 30 minutes by car. There are numerous leisure activities in the surrounding area. A beautiful bathing lake is only a few minutes away, the small river Hunte invites you to go canoeing, or you can visit the Ostrittrum animal and leisure park in the neighborhood. Go on a voyage of discovery, there are numerous archaeological sights, megalithic tombs from the time of the megalithic culture around 5000 years before Christ.
