Nature house in Winterswijk

An incredibly nice cottage to stay in. We found the living room a lot bigger and brighter than we could see in the pictures, with the glass back door towards the garden. The sauna and fireplace give a lot of atmosphere (you can get wood at the local Welkoop). The bathroom is a bit small and a bit older, but everything worked well and our little son loved the bath. It is nice that there are toys available, our child of 4 had a great time. The communication with Laura was very smooth. I would so book again!

Een ontzettend fijn huisje om te verblijven. De woonkamer vonden wij een stuk groter en lichter dan we op de fotos konden zien, met de glazen achterpui richting de tuin. De sauna en open haard geven veel sfeer (bij de lokale Welkoop kun je hout halen). De badkamer is wat klein en iets ouder, maar alles werkte goed en ons zoontje vond het bad heerlijk. Het is leuk dat er speelgoed aanwezig is, ons kind van 4 heeft zich erg vermaakt. De communicatie met Laura verliep erg soepel. Ik zou zo nog een keer boeken!

Wonderfully quiet area. From two sides of the house you look out over the golf course, and we noticed nothing of the golfers. At the back you look out over the fine garden. It was very quiet and peaceful during our stay. We really enjoyed visiting the market in Winterswijk and the local beer brewery, and at the winery next door you can buy Dutch wine.

Heerlijk rustige omgeving. Van twee kanten van het huis kijk je uit over de golfbaan, en wij hebben niets van de golfers gemerkt. Aan de achterzijde kijk je uit over de fijne tuin. Het was erg stil en rustig tijdens ons verblijf. De markt in Winterswijk en de lokale bierbrouwerij vonden we erg leuk om te bezoeken, en bij de naastgelegen wijnmakerij kun je Nederlandse wijn kopen.

You have to buy your own wood, several things were broken, essential things were missing in the kitchen (for example, a spatula for baking) it is very cold and you can not separate your waste.

Je moet zelf hout kopen, er waren meerdere dingen kapot, er misten essentiële dingen in de keuken (bijvoorbeeld een spatel voor het bakken) het is erg koud en je kunt je afval niet scheiden.

The cottage is near a golf course which you also have a nice view of from the windows. It was lovely and quiet however we did miss some curtains for some of the windows. The cottage was very cold on arrival and the heating also appeared to have a limit and the temperature on it was not correct, it did not get more than +/- 18 degrees. Unfortunately there were also some things broken (including the shower rod and nightstand) and not everything was clean and complete. The whole thing felt not quite 'finished' and cared for. Too bad! Because it is a beautiful place.

Het huisje staat vlakbij een golfterrein waar je ook mooi zicht op hebt vanuit de ramen. Het was er heerlijk rustig echter mistte we wel wat gordijnen voor sommige ramen. Het huisje was erg koud bij aankomst en de verwarming bleek ook een begrenzing te hebben en de temperatuur die erop staat klopt niet, het werd er niet meer dan +/- 18 graden. Helaas waren er ook wat dingen kapot (oa de douche stang en nachtkastje) en was niet alles schoon en compleet. Het geheel voelde nog niet helemaal 'af' en verzorgd. Jammer! Want het is een mooi plekje.

The owners and managers are incredibly friendly. Upon arrival, everything was arranged to perfection, including a cozy fireplace for the first day. The sauna is wonderful, all wood-fired. There is also everything you need: a dishwasher, washing machine, oven and a Nespresso machine.

De eigenaren en beheerders zijn ontzettend vriendelijk. Bij aankomst was alles tot in de puntjes geregeld, inclusief een gezellig openhaardvuur voor de eerste dag. De sauna is heerlijk, helemaal houtgestookt. Daarnaast is er alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt: een vaatwasser, wasmachine, oven en een Nespresso-machine.

Very nice and spacious bungalow! It is wonderfully quiet, with mainly the singing of the birds as background noise. Occasionally you can hear someone talking on the adjacent golf course, but in one week this happened only twice. Perfect for those who like relaxation and silence.

Zeer fijne en ruime bungalow! Het is heerlijk rustig, met vooral het gezang van de vogels als achtergrondgeluid. Af en toe hoor je iemand op het naastgelegen golfveld praten, maar in één week gebeurde dat slechts twee keer. Perfect voor wie van ontspanning en stilte houdt.
