It’s a house steeped in history! Fully equipped with all the amenities. The beds are made up beautifully. The blankets are very nice, though the mattresses could be better… The shower is wonderfully warm (though the stall is a bit on the small side).
Lovely garden, with a fire pit and comfortable chairs.

Het is een huis met geschiedenis! Van alle gemakken voorzien. Heerlijk opgemaakte bedden. Dekens zijn heel fijn de matrassen wat minder.. heerlijk warm douchen (hokje is wel aan de kleine kant)
Heerlijke tuin, met vuurplaats en fijne stoelen.

An enthusiastic Dutch-speaking owner. He takes plenty of time to explain things and tell us all about the area. He gave us some great hiking routes, and we went fishing and spotted moose! It was wonderful to take a nice morning walk (about 10 minutes) to a lovely little bakery! (Summer only)

We also took a quick dip in the cold water. (And even drank some!) The nature is absolutely stunning! We really want to go back just for the nature!
It was our first time in Norway, and it was amazing!

Nederlands sprekende enthousiaste eigenaar. Hij neemt alle tijd om dingen uit te leggen en van alles te vertellen over de omgeving. We hebben mooie routes van hem gekregen, gevist en elanden gespot! Heerlijk om smorgens met een mooie wandeling (ongeveer 10min) naar een heerlijk bakkertje te gaan! (Alleen in de zomer)

Ook hebben we nog even gezwommen in het koude water. (En er zelfs uit gedronken) hele mooie natuur! Wij willen voor de natuur echt nog een keer terug!
Het was onze eerste kennismaking met Noorwegen en dat was geweldig!

The house has everything you need for a 1-2 week stay (very comfortable beds, refrigerator, stove, washing machine), including a warm, friendly atmosphere! The bakery is a 5-minute walk away. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Communicating with him is completely effortless. He also gives tips on things to do!

Het huis heeft alles wat je bij een 1-2 weken lang verblijf nodig hebt (heel comfortabele bedden, koelkast, fornuis, wasmachine), inkl. een warme, vriendelijke sfeer! De bakker is 5 minuten looptijd. De eigenaar is heel vriendelijk en dienstwillig. De communicatie met hem is helemaal moeiteloos. Hij geeft ook tips voor activiteiten!

A very peaceful spot with the forest right behind the house. A beautiful river is also nearby (a 4-minute walk). The valley, which can be seen in the background of the photo, is also accessible: there’s a road running along the valley that turns into a trail further on. Along the road, there are even spots where you can cool off in the little river. There’s almost no chance you’ll run into anyone on that road (except for sheep)! Lake Vinjevatn isn’t far away either—a perfect little lake if you like to swim or paddle. A great swimming spot on this long lake is just a 6- to 7-minute drive away.

Heel rustige plek met het bos direct achter het huis. Een mooie rivier is ook dichtbij (4 minuten wandeling). De vallei die ook op de foto in de achtergrond te zien is, is ook toegankelijk: er is een weg langs de vallei die dan verderop in een pad overgaat. Langs de weg zijn er zelfs mogelijkheden om in het riviertje af te koelen. Er is bijna geen kans dat je iemand op die weg tegenkomt (behalve schapen)! Het Vinjevatn meer is ook niet ver weg, een perfect meertje, als je graag zwemt of paddelt. Een goede zwemplaats aan dit lange meertje is met de auto in 6-7 minuten bereikbaar.
