Everything you need in the basics is there: a good fine (double) bed, warm wood stove, a kitchenette to make a fine meal, a table to write at. If you want, the bed is made and the coffee and tea can filled. This wagon has been restored with craftsmanship, retaining original design such as the round ceiling. The combination of simplicity, atmosphere and details make our nature house a fine hideaway. Outside you have plenty of space all around and several private places to sit, overlooking and sheltered. At night all the silence and darkness, perfect for star gazing. In the early morning not infrequently see a deer or hare enter the field. Our nature house is the only accommodation at this location. The hospitality from the Gasterij is sincere and gladly provides a breakfast, homemade cake or meal with local local products. You are always welcome to use the living room and canopy. If you prefer to be on your own, that too is fine here.

Winterswijk, Achterhoek. The location of the nature house is at the back of the yard of the authentic farm the Mentink of Natuurmonumenten, next to the vegetable garden, bordering a piece of untouched green. On the border and at the edge of the meadow is a private place especially for you. The wood stove which is there is free to use. Nature lovers are right at home here, in the middle of the beautiful Winterswijk National Landscape. An unprecedented beautiful region with unique nature reserves, no less than four Natura 2000 areas, with diverse flora and fauna. Rare geological finds are still being made in the quarry. Besides nature, the region is characterized by beautiful farms, castles in a coulisse landscape with lovely country roads and streams. Hiking trails, cycling routes, tips for special places? All this information is provided with your stay. From the nature house you can start with a trail walk, via mowed paths through pieces of forest and across ditches.
