This attractive 1932 farmhouse on spacious private property with beautiful views over rolling countryside and woods, has recently been largely renovated. It has a cozy bright spacious living room, well equipped kitchen and 2 workplaces. On the 1st floor are 2 bedrooms with double bed and a baby/toddler bed and toilet. In the loft, accessible via a narrow staircase, are two single beds and a baby / toddler camp bed. CAUTION due to bathroom renovation (spring 2025) there is currently no bathroom. In the flowery garden with several seating areas and a terrace there is a natural swimming pond (30 x 14m). On request, a fence can be placed here so that small children cannot just enter the pond. At the back is a fireplace where it is also nice to stay on cooler days and evenings. In consultation there is also room for your own tent (s). Two sweet cats present who get their food from a vending machine and go in/out freely.
Nature and surroundings
The farm is part of the small hamlet Ouwendorp with five farms, in beautiful green and hushed countryside of Garderen on the Veluwe in central Netherlands, 6 car minutes from the A1 freeway. There is a bus stop 5 minutes walk away. The nearest train station is 30 bus-minutes away. Garderen, 10 minutes by bike, is a cozy village and the hub of many cycling and walking routes. You can enjoy various small-scale restaurants. There are an artisan butcher a bakery and two supermarkets. Our neighbors, organic farmers, have a country store where you can get excellent meat, eggs, dairy and local products. We are surrounded by Natura 2000 areas where you can wander endlessly and meet wildlife. National Park de Hoge Veluwe is 20 car minutes away. The cities of Amersfoort and Apeldoorn, with various museums can be reached with plm. 20 car minutes. Utrecht with 35 and Amsterdam with 45 minutes by car.
