A completely private, spacious, and comfortable 6-person villa in a fantastic location with a large pool in Lot-et-Garonne, offering panoramic views.The inviting rolling countryside, with its many picturesque medieval villages and castles, offers plenty of opportunities for swimming in the large Lot and Dordogne rivers. The region is similar to Tuscany but closer to home and less crowded. The average annual temperature is 18 degrees, and it remains a pleasant 20 degrees well into October. The house sits on a 1.4-hectare lot, secluded from neighbors and offering a fantastic view of the surrounding fields and, in the distance, the village of Monfanquin, romantically lit up in the evening. A nearby village store is located 6 km away in Lacapelle-Biron, and there’s a larger Auchan supermarket in Monflanquin and an Intermarché in Villeréal. The nearby villages have markets on alternate weekdays. It’s a wonderful place to relax in nature or seek entertainment in one of the villages or larger towns like Villeneuve.
Nature and surroundings
Surroundings: The house is nestled among the farmlands, sunflower fields, and vineyards of Bergerac. The area is characterized by its bastide villages, more than 20 of which are located in the immediate vicinity. It’s a fantastic place for biking, hiking, or driving around. Welcome to peace and nature. Nature means that all kinds of animals may be in and around the house. We’re talking about deer, frogs, wasps, mosquitoes, bees, and other animals. They’re part of nature and can’t be avoided. As long as they don’t bother you, the idea is to disturb the animals as little as possible. It’s not uncommon to be having breakfast while a few roe deer walk by just 10 meters away. There’s a roe deer trail across the property. The frogs are attracted to the pool. Eventually, they’ll die from the chlorine, but in the short term, they don’t seem to be bothered by it. We recommend catching them with a dip net and releasing them back into the wild about 40 meters away.
