The region is similar to Tuscany but less remote and less crowded. The average annual temperature is 18 degrees and it remains a pleasant 20 degrees well into October. The house is situated on a plot of 1.4ha with no neighbors in sight and a fantastic view of the surrounding fields and in the distance the evening romantically lit village of Monfanquin. Nearby village store at 6 km in Lacapelle-Biron and larger supermarket the Casino in Monflanquin and an Intermarche in Villeréal. The villages in the area have alternating markets every weekday. Here you can relax in nature or find entertainment in one of the villages or larger towns such as Villeneuve.

Setting: The house is situated amidst the farm fields, sunflower and grape fields of Bergerac. The area is characterized by the bastide villages of which there are more than 20 in the immediate vicinity. You can do fantastic cycling, walking or touring by car here. Welcome to tranquility and nature. Nature means that there can be all kinds of animals in and around the house. We are talking about deer, frogs, wasps, mosquitoes, bees, other animals. Part of nature and unavoidable. As long as you are not bothered by them, the idea is to disturb the animals as little as possible. It may just happen that you are having breakfast and a few deer walk by 10 meters away. There is a deer corridor across the property. The frogs are attracted to the pool. In time they will die from the chlorine but in the short term they don't seem to be bothered by it. Advice is to catch them with the scoop net and throw them back into the wild at 40 feet or so.
