Our compact but very fully equipped apartment is located on the edge of the Bohemian Forest. Within walking distance of the apartment is a supermarket and there is a restaurant nearby. In the living room there is a double fold-out bed with two good single mattresses. The bed is comfortable and very easy to fold up without removing the bedding. The apartment is equipped with a refrigerator, compact oven, toaster, Senseo coffee maker, ceramic hob for 2 pans, TV and DVD player. There is plenty of storage space as there are plenty of closets. Our well-kept apartment is on the first floor and has a terrace. The modest size is reflected in the modest price. The area is also very affordable.

The village of Altreichenau falls under the municipality of Neureichenau. The area of the Bohemian Forest is very suitable for hikers and cyclists. Behind the apartment is the Adalbert Stifter Radweg, a cycling and hiking trail along the route from the Vltava to the Danube. Cycling to the Dreisesselberg, the Sumava National Park in the Czech Republic and the Danube is possible in day trips from our apartment. The Austrian area of Hochficht is also easily accessible. A round trip of over 70 kilometers reaches 3 countries in 1 day. From the apartment there are hiking trails possible with different lengths and levels of difficulty. The surroundings of Dreisesselberg, Plockenstein, Danube, Passau, Moldau, Lipno Lake and the Bohemian Forest offer different views and charms in all seasons. There are several natural pools and hiking trails with a Kneippanlage to refresh yourself in nature in the immediate vicinity. The area is known for its very clean air.
