Nature house in Hornhuizen

There’s plenty of space for one or two people in the vacation home, and it’s cozily furnished. The host is very welcoming (for example, you’re welcome to pick plums in the garden). All basic amenities are generally available in the vacation home, plus bicycles in the shed. The vacation home was well cleaned. Cooking facilities are somewhat limited (2 hot plates and no microwave). And there is no (small) closet to store clothes if you’re staying longer. In the vacation home’s garden, you may have slightly less privacy, as people occasionally walk by on the hiking trail that runs behind the vacation home (about 20 meters from the vacation home). However, the garden is spacious enough to move the garden chairs around (the host also allows this).

Genoeg ruimte voor 1 persoon of 2 personen in het vakantiehuis en het huis is gezellig ingericht. Gastvrije verhuurder (je mag bijvoorbeeld pruimen plukken in de tuin). Alle basisvoorzieningen zijn in principe aanwezig in het vakantiehuis, plus fietsen in de schuur. Het vakantiehuis was goed schoongemaakt. Kookvoorzieningen zijn wel wat beperkt (2 warmhoudplaten en geen magnetron). En er is geen (kleine) kast aanwezig om kleding in te leggen indien je langer verblijft. In de tuin van het vakantiehuis heb je soms iets minder privacy, omdat er af en toe mensen langslopen over de wandelroute die achter het vakantiehuis loopt (+/- 20 meter vanaf het vakantiehuis). De tuin is echter ruim genoeg om de tuinstoelen te verplaatsen (dit mag ook van de verhuurder).

Hornhuizen is a quiet village. There is a spacious, green garden surrounding the vacation home. There’s a walking trail around the village that winds through trees and shrubs. It’s quite a walk from the village across the field, but once you’re past the outer dike, you’ll have a beautiful view of the salt marshes of the Wadden Sea. Keep in mind, however, that some plots are fenced off, so you may have to take a detour (this also applies to biking along the dike, as gates are sometimes closed).

Hornhuizen is een rustig dorp. Er is een ruime, groene tuin rond het vakantiehuis. Rond het dorp is een wandelroute langs bomen en struiken. Het is nog wel een behoorlijk stuk lopen vanuit het dorp door het veld, maar als je over de buitendijk bent, heb je een mooi uitzicht over de kwelders van de Waddenzee. Daarbij wel rekening houden dat sommige percelen gesloten zijn, zodat je soms nog best een eind moet omlopen (geldt ook voor het fietsen over de dijk, omdat hekken soms dicht zijn).

You'll be staying in a spot with plenty of privacy and an unobstructed view of the vast farmlands of Groningen; you'll also be close to Lauwersoog National Park, and you can take the boat to Schiermonnikoog from Lauwersoog.

Je zit op een plekje met voldoende privacy en vrij uitzicht over de uitgestekte landerijen van Groningen, daarnaast zit je vlakbij nationaal park lauwersoog en kun je in lauwersoog de boot naar schiermonnikoog pakken

Fine cottage, good beds and a nice shower with rain shower.

Fijn huisje, goede bedden en een lekkere douche met regendouche.

The cottage is in a spacious green area. Wonderfully quiet.

Het huisje staat in een ruime groene omgeving. Heerlijk rustig.
