Recently built nature house, equipped with all the comforts and luxuries you are looking for a pleasant stay: nice bedroom with a bathroom with shower 'en suite'. In the 'studio space' you will find seating and cooking facilities with a beautiful view over our meadow and fields, only disturbed by the view of the barn, where you can also relax on the terrace and possibly store your bikes inside. You have the opportunity to have breakfast outside or recover from your walk or wonderful bike ride through our beautiful surroundings. On the floor, which you can reach through the studio space, you will soon find a second bedroom. However, this one is not ready for use right now. During 2026, we hope to finish this space. There is wifi available, but because we are in the outlying area, reception is moderate and very variable. During the year 2026 we hope to be connected to the fiber optic network.
Nature and surroundings
Our nature house is located in the countryside of the municipality Westerkwartier: 3.5 km south of Marum (with stores like AH, Hema and Lidl and 1.5 km away from the village De Wilp (with a small convenience store and cozy eatery). You will find at the back of our house the Nanninga forest nearby (700 m walk) and at 1.5 km the Bakkeveen woods with the beautiful Bakkeveen dunes and fens. From our nature house there are many beautiful hiking trails with routes to follow and challenging mountain bike routes. At 20 meters distance and a little more to the road is the main building: a country house where you can always go with your questions. You drive up the driveway and you will find a private parking space in front of the cottage.
