Lievelde is located in the triangle Winterswijk, Groenlo, Lichtenvoorde, in one of the most beautiful places in the Achterhoek. Surrounded by the green tranquility of vast forests, meadows and historic towns and Hanseatic cities. Almost nowhere in the Netherlands is the variety of landscape so varied; forests, meadows, flower beds, streams, hedges, farms and castles form a beautiful coulisse landscape. The many peat bogs, the national landscape with its ashes, wooded banks and raised bogs provide many beautiful routes. Come hiking and/or biking. Mountain bikers and cyclists can also enjoy themselves here. In the Netherlands there are less than one hundred acres of living peat moor left. The Vragenderveen is part of a unique piece of raised bog with a rich flora and fauna is definitely worth a visit. Because of the dangers, you can only enter the moorland with a guide, although you can walk and cycle freely around the moorland.
