If you’re looking for a charming and distinctive place to stay, you’ll feel right at home in our cozy hayloft. This fully wooden, replica hayloft is compact, fully equipped, and ideal for anyone who loves peace and quiet, nature, and the outdoors. Downstairs, you’ll find a cozy living room with a wood stove and French doors leading to the patio, a simple yet fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, oven, and 4-burner gas stove, and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. Up the stairs, you’ll find the bedroom with a comfortable yet modest double bed beneath the beamed ceiling. Through the stained-glass windows, you can look out onto the chicken coop and the orchard. Bedding, kitchen linens, and bath towels are included. The cottage is located on our property, next to the wood shed and close to our garage. We use the property daily, so you may occasionally run into us or see or hear us working on the property.
Nature and surroundings
Froombosch is located in Midden-Groningen, 10 minutes from Groningen. The village borders the Roegwold nature reserve, which features hiking and biking trails. Nearby are the Fraeylemaborg and the Fraeylemabos, ideal for hiking. To the south lies the Zuidlaardermeer, perfect for boating and birdwatching, and to the north is the Schildmeer, with small beaches and recreational activities. The hay shed is situated in our orchard, teeming with birds; in the spring, it’s filled with blossoms and bees. There are both sunny and shaded seating areas where you can relax. The area is perfect for bike rides through the Groningen countryside, with sweeping views and quiet roads. In the evening, it gets dark here, and on clear nights you can see the stars.

The driveway to the cottage (past the owners' house) is on the narrow side though. For people with a campervan or SUV this can be a bit difficult.All in all, it is definitely worth its money. We are very satisfied from our stay here.
