Nature house in Froombosch

Very cozy cottage. Lots of privacy and quiet at night. Also good wood stove that heats quickly. Also all necessary things present. Also nice of the Chromecast to the TV, which allows you to stream series / movies lan from your cell phone or laptop. When not watching TV, you can play board games (there are some very classic ones among them) As for the neighborhood, it is not too remote and also not close to the center. So in terms of location, it is nicely in between. The dog (Boris) is also definitely an added value :) If you go through the garden to the open field in the back, you can see the beautiful starry sky in low clouds. The driveway to the cottage (past the owners' house) is on the narrow side though. For people with a campervan or SUV this can be a bit difficult.All in all, it is definitely worth its money. We are very satisfied from our stay here.

Zeer gezellig huisje. Veel privacy en 's nachts muisstil. Eveneens goede houtkachel die snel verwamt. Ook alle nodige zaken aanwezig. Ook leuk van de Chromecast aan de TV, waarmee je vanaf je GSM of laptop series/films lan streamen. Wanneer je geen TV kijkt, kan je gezelschapsspelletjes spelen (zitten er een aantal zeer klassieke tussen)

Wat de buurt betreft is het niet te afgelegen en ook niet dichtbij het centrum. Qua locatie ligt het dus mooi tussenin. De Hond (Boris) is ook zeker wel een meerwaarde :)

Als je door de tuin naar het open veld achteraan gaat, kan je bij weinig bewolking de prachtige sterren hemel zien.

De oprit naar het huisje (langs het huis van de eigenaars) is wel langs de smalle kant. Voor mensen met een campervan of SUV kan dit wat moeilijk zijn.

Al bij al is het zeker zijn geld waard. Wij zijn heel tevreden van ons verblijf hier.

So all in all, I felt totally unwelcome and there was little in the way of relaxing. Everything together made me decide to leave after 1 night. From the landlords I have not heard anything more.

Al met al voelde ik me dus totaal niet welkom en was van ontspannen weinig sprake. Alles bij elkaar heeft me doen besluiten om na 1 nachtje weer te vertrekken. Van de verhuurders heb ik niks meer vernomen.

Unfortunately, this was not what I expected. Arrival was with a key box (totally fine) but they also did not come to introduce themselves during the day. The written card that was supposed to welcome me was not welcoming either, the card seemed to have been used several times. (I had indicated that I would come alone, on the card was always "you guys") I did hear the host loudly calling next to the cottage and then had to mow the grass around dinner time, so that was over an hour of noise. The wood stove was difficult to get started with only 3 firelighters and very large pieces of wood, no kindling to find. The thermostat in the cottage could not be used. The screen is unreadable. which meant I was in a very cold cottage for the most part.Also, all the crockery in the cupboard was not clean, everything I washed before and after using it.The cottage is in the garden, but is not very sheltered. therefore little privacy.

Dit was helaas niet wat ik ervan verwacht had. Aankomst was met een sleutel kastje (helemaal prima) maar ze zijn zich gedurende de dag ook niet komen voorstellen. Het geschreven kaartje wat me welkom zou moeten heten was evenmin gastvrij, het kaartje leek al meerdere keren te zijn gebruikt. (ik had aangegeven dat ik alleen zou komen, op het kaartje stond steeds 'jullie')
Wel heb ik de gastheer luid horen kunnen bellen naast het huisje en moest daarna rond etenstijd het gras nog gemaaid worden, dat was dus ruim een uur herrie.

De houtkachel was moeilijk aan te krijgen met alleen maar 3 aanmaakblokjes en hele grote stukken hout, geen aanmaak houtjes te vinden. De thermostaat in het huisje was niet te gebruiken. Het scherm is onleesbaar.
Wat erop neer kwam dat ik grotendeels in een erg koud huisje zat.
Ook was al het servies in de kast niet schoon, alles heb ik voor en na gebruik afgewassen.
Het huisje staat in de tuin, maar is niet erg beschut. daardoor weinig privacy.

The cottage is particularly beautifully designed. A lot of wood was used in the construction and finishing. Around the house is a large garden with fruit trees. Many birds can be heard. Near the cottage are several natural areas where you can enjoy hiking and cycling.

Het huisje is bijzonder fraai vorm gegeven. Bij de constructie en afwerking is veel hout gebruikt. Rondom het huis is een grote tuin met fruitbomen. Er zijn veel vogels te horen. In de omgeving van het huisje zijn diverse natuurgebieden waar je heerlijk kunt wandelen en fietsen.
