If you are looking for an atmospheric and characteristic cottage, then you will be right at home in our hay house. This recreated "haystack" is made entirely of wood. It is a very cozy but complete house. Upon entering you walk right into the cozy living room with wood stove. Through the folding doors you enter the terrace. The living room flows into the kitchenette, with refrigerator, simple oven and 4-burner gas stove. Furthermore, on the first floor you will find the bathroom, with shower and toilet. From the living room* you walk up the stairs to the bedroom which is located on the second floor. A comfortable bed under the beautiful beamed ceiling. You can look out through the stained glass windows, which are located all around in the bedroom, on our chicken run, orchard and surrounding farmlands. Included with an overnight stay is clean bedding, kitchen and bathroom linen. The cottage is directly adjacent to a small yard which includes our carport and garage * new armchairs as of May '23
Nature and surroundings
Froombosch is located in central Groningen, a 10-minute drive from the City of Groningen. It is a quiet village on the edge of the Roegwold nature reserve, where you can admire the Groningen nature on various cycling and walking paths. Close by is the "Fraeylemaborg" with its own forest, the Fraeylemabos. Further to the south is the Zuidladermeer with adjacent nature reserves, north of Froombosch you can find the Schildmeer.Within cycling distance is the center of Sappemeer, with several supermarkets, butcher and baker.
