The house, formerly the property of an abbey, dates back to the 1600s. Constructed around a secluded courtyard garden, it is surrounded by acres of wild fields and woods. Reflecting something of its monastic background, the house is large and spacious with simple generously-proportioned rooms.The two bedrooms which are available for rent are completely independent.
Nature and surroundings
The surrounding land, which is gently undulating and traffic-free, is perfect for walking and cycling; nearby lakes and rivers present opportunities for wild swimming and canoeing. There are also several sites of historic interest (prehistoric caves, medieval churches, Renaissance chateaux) in the area; and brocantes (flea markets) take place in nearby villages on Sundays.
