Nature house in Holwerd

Welcome to our lovely Nature House. Located in the quiet area near Ameland and the Wadden Sea, with a beautiful view over the meadows. The cottage is equipped with Wifi and has a lovely double bed 180x200, made up on arrival. In addition, the cottage has a shower and a toilet. There are four large towels and four smaller towels provided, as well as enough dish soap and tea towels to make washing the dishes quick and easy. If you plan to prepare a nice meal in the fully equipped kitchen, it's great to know that there is a supermarket just ten minutes by bike from the Nature House. In the cottage where you are staying, there is no need to worry about coffee or tea. Coffee and tea are already waiting for you, so you can immediately enjoy a cup of coffee or tea upon arrival! In addition, behind the nature house you have space to rest privately and enjoy the view.

There are beautiful cycling and walking routes and a wonderful environment to explore. You are close to the sea dike and also the new project 'De terp fan de takomst' on which you have a view of the salt marshes of the outlying area. Be sure to take the trouble to climb the sea dike resulting in a beautiful view of the mud flats, Unesco World Heritage since 2009. In winter, this beautiful salt marsh is the property of thousands of geese who winter there. During spring tides in combination with storms, the salt marshes are regularly flooded. In summer, horses, sheep and cows graze on these tidal marshes. This beautiful area rich in birds has the status of 'Nature Reserve'. Also a day trip to Ameland, Schiermonnikoog, nature reserve Lauwersmeer, Dokkum, Leeuwarden, 11 cities route, Hogebeintum (highest mound), wonderful cycling or walking through this beautiful area is definitely recommended.
