Located on a large private property you are a guest in our tastefully decorated vacation home of 61m2. We are Paulien and Peter and since June 2021 we are the proud owners of our "hidden pearl" which is equipped with every luxury. A beautiful spacious veranda - with lounge chairs and table with stools - provides access to the hall with closet and drying cabinet for wet clothes. The bathroom includes a toilet, shower, sink and washing machine. In the living room you can relax on the large sofa by the wood stove. From the fully equipped kitchen (including oven, microwave, induction hob, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and blender) you can conjure up the most delicious meals on the table yourself. There are two bedrooms, each bedroom has two single quality beds and a closet. The rental includes one set of bed linen and two towels per person, use of firewood and final cleaning.
Nature and surroundings
Our vacation home is idyllically located on the spur on a lake, in the middle of the vast nature of Lapland. The area is perfect for hiking, cycling and canoeing. The scenic Oulanka National Park is just a stone's throw away. You can hike, raft or take a beautiful canoe trip there to your heart's content. The Riisitunturi and Hossa National Parks are also within driving distance as are such beautiful viewpoints as Kontainen, Valtavaara, Pyhävaara and Ivaara. Many winter activities done in the area include: snowmobile safaris, husky safaris, reindeer safaris, riverfloating, ice fishing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and skiing and snowboarding. In summer, you can visit the local reindeer farm, sup board, mountain biking, fat biking, fishing, swimming, canoeing and more. Within driving distance are several excellent restaurants and supermarkets. The nearest Kuusamo airport is about a 40-minute drive away. Canoeing is included.
