Nature house in Ballydehob

A little money to be spent there would have made this house a better experience. It would have been very nice if the above were met. The seclusion makes the house!

It was nice and quiet; and we loved the tranquility of the place! The damp issues were solved with the de-humidifier (needed due to single glazing and encroaching herbage at the back) and the pellet burner. Robert would do well to upgrade the bathroom furniture; re dripping very old taps old toilet/shower. A wi-fi TV would have been an improvement. The area around the back of the house could be cleared back to boundary; which would give the place a more 'airy' feel. Please replace the broken pedal bin in the bathroom Robert!

Nicely furnished cottage which is a good base to explore the beautiful region. Response from host: Hai Jan, Thanks for your positive review. We have chosen not to prune the entire garden because otherwise it is so bare, the consequence is that there is probably a little less light around the cottage than hoped by you (?). Also, the cottage is located in the middle of farmland, there is work done by the farmers and that may indeed occasionally give some noise.

Hai Jan, Dank voor je positieve review. We hebben ervoor gekozen om niet de gehele tuin te snoeien omdat het anders zo kaal is, het gevolg daarvan is dat er allicht iets minder licht is rondom het huisje dan gehoopt door jullie (?). Tevens staat het huisje middenin boerenland, daar wordt gewerkt door de boeren en dat kan inderdaad af en toe wat lawaai geven.

This cottage is very beautiful and stylishly decorated. And everything has been thought of in terms of equipment, which is very good. The hosts are also very nice. This cottage is a wonderful base to explore the beautiful region around. There is a lot to see and do in the region. West Cork and the Beara region is very beautiful. The only thing we found a little unfortunate is that there is little direct sunlight around the cottage, so you soon find yourself sitting inside. And occasionally the sound of a breaker can be heard in the area, but just how the wind is.

Dit huisje is erg mooi en stijlvol ingericht. En aan alles is gedacht qua uitrusting, dat is erg goed. De hosts zijn ook erg aardig. Dit huisje is een prachtige uitvalsbasis om de prachtige regio rondom te verkennen. Er is in de regio veel te zien en te doen. West Cork en de Beara regio is erg mooi. Het enige wat we wat jammer vonden is dat er weinig direct zonlicht om het huisje is, waardoor je al snel binnen gaat zitten. En af en toe is er het geluid van een breekhamer te horen in het gebied, maar net hoe de wind staat.

Een ruime woning voor twee of drie met de nodige voorzieningen. Ontvochtiger aanwezig om overdag aan te zetten.

Secluded cottage, next to that of a Dutch couple. Pleasant terrace with a view of the fields between the trees. Close to some beautiful places.

Afgelegen huisje, naast dat van een Nederlands koppel. Aangenaam terras met tussen de bomen uitzicht op de velden. Dichtbij enkele mooie plekjes.
