Nature house in Terkaple

Nice cottage, but really needs some attention in terms of maintenance and some replacement.And I would really put a wall in the bathroom and replace the toilet with something more modern because it makes an awful lot of noise.But thank you for the friendly reception.

Leuk huisje, maar heeft echt even aandacht nodig qua onderhoud en wat vervanging.

En ik zou echt een muurtje plaatsen in de badkamer en de wc vervangen door iets moderners want het maakt ontzettend veel geluid.

Maar dank je wel voor het vriendelijke ontvangst.

The cottage is beautiful, and the host tremendously friendly. However, the cottage needs a bit of an update. The couch is very old and rather dirty. There is no way to relax on it. There are some things broken, which is not very bad, but it would be nice if it was fixed. There are a lot of cobwebs, in a house / barn like this may be a little part of it, but there were a lot, even in places where it is easy to clean. The decking and lounge set outside are really in need of replacement and / or maintenance. What you really need to consider is that it is an open bathroom, so the toilet and shower are actually just in the middle and open in the living room. There are no enclosed areas, even in terms of sleeping. The beds, on the other hand, are very comfortable. So is the jacuzzi!!! The sauna does not work! And finally: we were with two cars and because there were many visitors we could unfortunately only park with 1 car on the property.

Het huisje is mooi, en de host enorm vriendelijk.

Echter, het huisje heeft een beetje een update nodig. De bank is erg oud en toch wel viezig. Lekker onderuit zakken hierop zit er niet bij. Er zijn wat dingetjes kapot, wat niet heel erg is maar wel netjes als het opgeknapt is.
Er zijn enorm veel spinnenraggen, in een huisje/ schuur als deze hoort dat er mss een beetje bij maar het waren er enorm veel ook op plekken waar het makkelijk schoon te maken is.

De vlonder en loungeset buiten zijn echt aan vervanging en/ of onderhoud toe.

Waar je echt bij stil moet staan is dat het een open badkamer is, dus de wc en de douche staan eigenlijk gewoon midden en open in de huiskamer. Er zijn geen afgesloten ruimtes, ook niet qua slapen.
De bedden zijn daarentegen erg comfortabel. Zo ook de jacuzzi!!
De sauna doet het niet!

En tot slot: we waren met twee auto’s en doordat er veel bezoek was konden we helaas maar met 1 auto op het terrein parkeren.

We have had a truly wonderful stay in Terkaple: Here it is enjoyable: It is very atmospheric, authentic and cozy, more than enough space and equipped with all the comforts (that you wish to unwind). Our teenagers loved it: The perfect "chill" place! The host family gave us all the space and tranquility and were immediately ready when we needed them anyway (because we had not read the welcome email). Also, Joure is very close for a forgotten errand. This location is definitely recommended and we would love to come back again!

We hebben een écht heerlijk verblijf gehad in Terkaple:
Hier is het genieten: Het is heel sfeervol, authentiek en gezellig ingericht, meer dan voldoende ruimte en van alle gemakken en comfort (die je maar wenst om tot rust te komen) voorzien. Onze pubers vonden het geweldig: De perfecte "chill"plek! Pure ontspanning.
De gastfamilie heeft ons alle ruimte en rust gegeven en stonden direct klaar wanneer we ze onverhoopt toch even nodig hadden (omdat wij de welkomsmail niet hadden gelezen). Ook is Joure is heel dichtbij voor een vergeten boodschap. Deze locatie is zeker een aanrader en wij komen heel graag nog een keer terug!

The cottage is in a beautiful place, next to a beautiful Frisian farm, on several small waters, in a small village. More than enough greenery, peace and quiet and space around the cottage. It was wonderfully quiet during our stay.

Het huisje ligt op prachtige plek, naast een prachtige friese boerderij, aan diverse watertjes, in een klein dorpje. Meer dan voldoende groen, rust en ruimte om het huisje heen. Het was heerlijk rustig tijdens ons verblijf.

Blessed to shower outside (hot)..also possible in cottage.Bathroom behind screen is rather smaller and toilet rather noisy (disturbing for kids at night).TV and internet present but has not been tested. Kids had a great time on/in the water.

Zalig om buiten (warm) te douchen..ook mogelijk in huisje.
Badkamer achter het scherm is eerder kleiner en de toilet eerder luidruchtig (in de nacht storend voor kids).
Tv en internet aanwezig maar is niet getest geweest. Kids hebben zich erg vermaakt op/in het water.

Very quiet location. Wake up to rhythm and sounds of the birds... Sufficiently spacious garden with possibility to use trampoline, sup, kayak and rowing boat. Jacuzzi, outdoor shower and lounge with an eye on playing children... Even though we went for the nature experience; dishwasher, washing machine, oven, microwave etc. were present. Host family was very considerate of our privacy and were super friendly.

Erg rustig gelegen. Wakker worden op ritme en geluiden van de vogels..
Voldoende ruime tuin met mogelijkheid tot gebruiken van trampoline, sup, kajak en roeibootje.
Jacuzzi, buitendouche en lounge met oog op spelende kinderen..
Ook al gingen we voor de natuurbeleving; afwasmachine, wasmachine, oven, microgolf etc. waren aanwezig.
Gastgezin hield erg veel rekening met onze privacy en waren super vriendelijk.
