Nature house in Relsberg

Although it is rather unusual to spend the night in a garden shed in winter, it was a great experience for us. The hostess made sure that a gas heater was turned on in the hut before we arrived. And although it was freezing outside and the hut is not insulated, it was nice and cozy when we arrived. The hostess also gave us an electric heater. We paid a previously agreed small amount for the use of both heaters. The hostess was also very helpful and obliging and gave us towels and old blankets to insulate the windows and door. We also had cuddly blankets, beds for our dogs and warm clothes. So we were well equipped and when it was a bit colder, we just cuddled up. All in all, we felt very comfortable. For the New Year, the hostess invited us to breakfast together and she is generally a very warm and welcoming person!

Obwohl es im Winter eher unüblich ist, in ein Gartenhäuschen zu nächtigen, war es für uns eine tolle Erfahrung. Die Gastgeberin kümmerte sich darum, dass vor unserer Ankunft eine Gasheizung in der Hütte angemacht wurde. Und obwohl es draußen Minusgrade waren und die Hütte nicht isoliert ist, war es schön kuschelig warm bei der Ankunft. Die Gastgeberin gab uns ebenfalls eine elektrische Heizung. Für die Nutzung beider Heizungen haben wir einen zuvor abgemachten kleinen Betrag gezahlt. Die Gastgeberin war darüber hinaus sehr bemüht und zuvorkommend und gab uns Handtücher und alte Decken zum isolieren der Fenster und der Tür. Wir hatten ebenfalls Kuscheldecken, Betten für unsere Hunde und warme Kleidung dabei.
Somit waren wir gut ausgestattet und wenn’s mal etwas kälter war, wurde halt gekuschelt.
All in all haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Zum Neujahr lud die Gastgeberin uns zum gemeinsamen Frühstück ein.Generell ist sie eine sehr herzliche, warme Person mit viel Gastfreundschaft!

The garden cottage is in a quiet location on the owner's property. The main house, which we were allowed to use (bathroom, kitchen) is only a few steps away and yet the garden house is situated in such a way that you really have your retreat and it is a little more hidden. The place itself is very quiet, so that even New Year's Eve was only accompanied by a few firecrackers and rockets, which was over by 1 a.m. at the latest. You can go hiking in the village and the surrounding villages. A tip: The old monastery ruins in Disibodenberg and a trip to Heidelberg Castle are also worthwhile.

Das Gartenhäuschen ist ruhig gelegen auf dem Grundstück der Besitzerin. Das Haupthaus, welches wir mitbenutzen durften (Bad,Küche) ist nur wenige Schritte entfernt und dennoch liegt das Gartenhäuschen so platziert, dass man wirklich seinen Rückzugsort hat und es etwas versteckter ist. Der Ort an sich ist sehr ruhig, sodass selbst die Silvesternacht nur von ein paar Böllern und Raketen begleitet wurde, was spätestens um 1 Uhr vorbei war.
Im Ort und in den dort umliegenden Orten kann man gut wandern. Ein Tipp:Die alte Klosterruine in Disibodenberg, eine Fahrt nach Heidelberg zum Schloss lohnt sich ebenfalls.

The cottage is very comfortably furnished, even the bed is comfortable and well suited for 2 people. For all meals that cannot be prepared in the cottage itself, you can use the kitchen in the house. The toilet and bathroom in the house are close by and accessible at all times. We received a very friendly and warm welcome. The owner was always open to questions and it was very important to her that we felt comfortable.

Das Häuschen ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, auch das Bett ist bequem und für 2 Personen gut geeignet. Für alle Speisen, die im Häuschen selbst nicht zubereitet werden können, hätte man können die Küche im Wohnhaus mitbenutzen. Die Toilette und das Bad im Wohnhaus sind nahegelegen und jederzeit zugänglich. Wir wurden sehr freundlich und warmherzig empfangen. Die Besitzerin war jederzeit für Fragen offen und ihr war es sehr wichtig, dass man sich wohlfühlt.

We really enjoyed our stay due to the peace and quiet, surrounded by nature and the relaxed atmosphere in the cottage and on the entire property. You can completely leave everyday life behind you.

Wir konnten den Aufenthalt durch die Ruhe und Stille, inmitten der Natur und die entspannte Atmosphäre im Häuschen und auf dem gesamten Grundstück sehr genießen. Man kann dort den Alltag mal komplett hinter sich lassen.

Despite the heat, the room climate was pleasant as it could be ventilated from 3 out of 4 sides and the materials used were very comfortable. The mosquito net was great at keeping out any mosquitoes.

Trotz großer Hitze war es ein angenehmes Raumklima, da über 3 von 4 Seiten gelüftet werden kann und sehr angenehme Materialien verbaut sind.

Eventuelle Mücken konnten prima mit dem Moskitonetz ferngehalten werden.
