Switch down a gear in this unique, peaceful accommodation. A 2.5-hour drive from Budapest you will find this 2022 renovated detached house with open views of a valley and forest. The house has a new fully equipped kitchen and bathroom and is decorated with partly new and mostly original furniture and attributes. There is one bedroom with 2 single beds and one bedroom with a double bed which can be reached via an archway from the kitchen. Upon request a crib will be provided before your arrival. In the front room there is a lovely (reclining) couch with room for 4 people, and a TV connected to the internet for example Netflix, Youtube etc. The roof terrace is accessible from the inside. Behind the house is a large terrace where you can use the barbeque, sun loungers and on request there is also a small children's pool can be put down.
Nature and surroundings
Szuhogy is a quiet village in a hilly wooded area where there is little tourism and where there is beautiful hiking and biking. Less than 5 km away is the deepest lake in Hungary, namely Rudabánya bányató , a beautiful lake in the mountains. A 30-minute drive away is the Aggteleki Nemzeti Park along the border with Slovakia, where you can enjoy hiking, cycling and of course the world famous caves in the karst mountains to admire. There are also several tourist attractions in shorter distances to find, such as a watchtower, castles, prehistoric dwellings of cavemen, the largest book in the world etc etc. Nearest large (er) cities are Kazincbarcika about 20 minutes, Edelény about 25 minutes, and Miskolc, the third largest city in the country at about 40 minutes drive.
