Nature house in Gemünd

Our small, nature-inspired vacation village features three large log cabins, all with the same floor plan. Each cabin features a living room with a large sofa bed (for 2 people), a bedroom for 4 people (single beds), a kitchenette, a closet, and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. All rooms are fully furnished; heating is provided by gas stoves, and lighting is powered by solar energy. Guests must bring their own bedding (duvet covers and sheets), as well as towels and table linens. Hammock rentals are available for sleeping in the woods. Below the houses, a meadow stretches down to the Our River, which forms the border—a place where children can run around and play—plus a playground with a swing, a seesaw, and a sandbox. The Our is shallow, clean, and teeming with fish; here, children can swim, float on an air mattress, or splash Dad. A little further downstream, in a bend in the river, there’s a spot where you can swim. It’s worth staying longer: The second week is 15% off, and the third week is 20% off.

This small vacation village offers pure nature for the whole family. It’s located in a quiet valley basin 1 km below the village of Gemünd, right on the Our River—spanning a total of 5 hectares of meadows, woods, rocks, a river, and a mountain stream, right in the heart of the German-Luxembourg Nature Park. The vacation homes, each standing alone at the foot of the mountain, have plenty of space right in front of them for playing, relaxing, and barbecuing, and are separated from one another by hedges, embankments, or groups of trees. On the property: the Our River, which forms the border with Luxembourg, for swimming and fishing; a large meadow for running around and a children’s playground; as well as rocks for climbing, surrounded by an oak forest, oak hedges, and a mountain stream. We are self-sufficient with our own solar power and our own reed-based wastewater treatment system. There are many hiking trails, and it’s 10 km to the small town of Vianden, Luxembourg, with its imposing castle and wonderful outdoor swimming pool.
