Nature house in Woldendorp

Welcome! Come and stay in our cozy, special accommodation! The accommodation is located on the second floor of the main building, it has a private entrance. The stairs upstairs lead you to the renovated apartment. The living room has a small kitchenette including a refrigerator. A (filter) coffee maker, water, egg boiler, juice press as well as a toaster and a 1-burner hot plate are available. In the bedroom there are two free-standing, made-up beds. There is a bathroom with shower (towels provided) and a separate toilet. You can park your bikes under the canopy around the corner of the square. From the apartment you have a beautiful view on both sides of the expanse of the polder. Surrounding you will see the sleepers and wakes dikes bordering agricultural land on one side, the salt marshes of the Dollard and the nature reserve Breebaart polder of the Groninger Landscape on the other. The special location makes it complete!

The increasing demand from more than 265 shareholders of the Johannes Kerkhovenpolder BV (an arable farm) to be able to stay in the Polder has led to the creation of a beautiful accommodation upstairs in the main building under the characteristic clock. An overnight stay ideal for peace seekers, cyclists, hikers and/or bird watchers. The lodging in a post-war National Monument is located in a very special location brimming with history. The vast polders with their characteristic grain fields, but where potatoes, onions and field beans are grown in addition to alfalfa and bird fields, provide a beautiful picture. About 6km away you will find some nice places to eat in the harbor town of Termunterzijl. You can visit the bird-watching huts in the adjacent nature reserve 'the Breebaartpolder'. Defzijl and Appingedam with its 'hanging kitchens' are also worth a look, as is, for example, the fortified town of OudeSchans. You can reach the beautiful city of Groningen approximately after 50 km.
